People never quite understand what it means to say that something is dead. You see people populating the most popular spots in the game for trade, buffs and duels (predominantly with their level 60s) and you think the game as a whole is healthy. How are the leveling zones? How are regular raids? How much fun can new players have? A bunch of people standing around Stormwind and Orgrimmar means absolutely nothing.
Mate there’s like less than a hundred of us total. Anyone who wants to come play with a small, dedicated community is more than welcome.
whitemane is pretty dead, all the naxx raids are basically all the same people with multiple alts (horde side anyway). Im sure ally side is way more populated tho
It is funny, Era has 12k raiders and the game is a decent population- especially if one is mostly raiding. It is a bit empty in leveling zones and pvp BGs are mostly during the weekend.
But when we bump back up to 20k and maybe 30k when anniversary vanilla is done, it will be way more alive than anniversary ever felt - because we don’t allow layers on Era so when it is packed it is PACKED and tons of fun.
ngl tho Whitemane’s thighs had a lot more worshippers in the past…
These people have been saying “dead server” before Era was even a thing. It’s a toxic meme they parrot, which then others parrot. Was happening on Vanilla Classic when realms had well over 3-5k active raiders. It’s why we have mega realms only now. It’s very tiring. You don’t need that many people to play this game… and id argue the game isn’t made to work well for mega clusters.
i feel like era would be a really great game if i could pug naxx anytime of the day any day of the week. if that was a reality era would be cooking… the wow community needs to do better!
It was basically like this before anniversary.
The thing about naxx though is that it is easy for someone to accidently wipe the group and ruin the run for 39 other players. So pugs were still generally picky and if someone was new to naxx they would make sure they have good AQ40 logs and could communicate clearly.
That’s alright, you can come play with me on retail.
are u a real gurl?
This is an example of a person who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Grobb is full of elitist players posing as non-elitist? What???
Grobb is full of chill players, 3 cool guilds, and people having a great time. Just stop posting.
Try that on a Tuesday evening around 9 p.m.
As stated before … I would really hope the first day of reset during prime night time would have raids …
That’s like… when it should be alive.
Not necessarily a great indicator of health…
Whitemane’s population is greater than most 2005 servers. The raiding scene is perfectly fine. Every raid is being ran several times a week. I’d like to see more BGs popping, but it’s still much better than anniversary’s massively overpopulated servers where your chances of picking a black lotus are less than finding a Zod rune in Diablo 2.
It’s like there’s country life, suburban life and city life. I’d like to have suburban life, but if I had to choose between country and city life I’d take country life any day. Too many people. It’s gross and stop touching me.
If you head on over to https://ironforge.pro/population/era/overall/
you’ll observe that Era has been experiencing a slow, yet steady population increase ever since the Anniversary servers launched. There has been a recent larger spike in the past month as well.
Not only is Era not dead, it would appear to be growing.
Oh absolutely, your primetime stroll through Whitemane, packed with duel bots, bank alts, and the same three GDKP spammers on loop, is definitive proof that all of Era is positively booming. By that ironclad logic, a crowded food court means every restaurant on Earth is thriving and my kettle boiling confirms global warming.
Keep waving that single-server selfie like scripture while the rest of us compare actual population data and hear echoes on every other realm.
Careful with that emoji, son.
Point that thing somewhere else.
ik ur a retail furry boi judging from ur pfp so let me try to explain our server raid culture to u. There are multiple different guilds that host different GDKPS not just 3. id say probably 20+ guilds. for example: Last week i was in a raid hosted by a woman named Hotubby she is Chinese that forms raids with 20 other chinese people. All u have to do man is just login and look around idk what else to tell u people *and thats just on horde side alliance has way more raids and guilds
I love the mind twisting one much do to this is is some sort of positive take LOL.
“Hey guys… the population of era is more than a time when almost nobody raided, nobody was level 60, and people were mostly just level 30 learning about the game”…
Comparing anything to 2005 to make a point is so laughable
