Coming into era and making these comments should be bannable offense. It’s toxic and further degrades the community and causes further damage to the small community that it has become. Some of us want to continue to play era and don’t need to have to put up with this bs. I have no idea why these people keep coming into our servers to mock us, but it needs to stop.

I am just mad because blizz hasn’t given out permanent bc or wrath era servers yet. Which is annoying. Really the only thing about wow and blizzard I complain about recently. It’s very infuriating. I mean I love vanilla era as much as the next person. But Wrath classic era was where it was at for me. So no trash talking about the classic era community. Just annoyed that blizz hasn’t done permanent wrath era servers yet.

I wouldn’t expect ERA to recover when TBC goes live, I would actually expect a bump in P3 of Fresh, then a drop again when TBC goes live, then assuming TBC becomes an ERA server, for ERA to pick back up as Sunwell launches, where you start to see populations balancing on both servers.
This will make it tough for things like BGs in ERA, but world PvP should be fine if a bit more limited, as well as most PvE raids should still be ok since they are manageable with smaller populations.
If they allowed the 20th anniversary characters to be copied / transferred to era before TBC like in 2019 classic it would help the population in the long run , I think many people will avoid TBC this time without confirmation of TBC era too , I know I will not play one second of it without that info because last time EVERYTHING I did was a waste of time because I don’t like cata and beyond , they should just have era servers for the original trilogy and then allow you to copy your characters over at the end of each fresh run

Agree, but its what a large number of people including myself want, ultimately if the server progresses onto WOTLK , its a huge failure in every way, and personally I will not put any effort into the fresh servers until there is some clarification. as I have zero desire to do fresh Classic, and see no point in wasting effort on TBC if it gets pushed to WOTLK again.

I actually like it. To see people have no achievement in their life trying to get some superiority feeling from a game. And they don’t realize the players stay in era also can play fresh whenever they want, it’s on the same subscription lol.

I feel the same way. I’ll start leveling a Bloodelf if there is an official announcement that TBC is getting an era. But otherwise, I’m good with playing classic-era where things already make sense.

Its gold sellers, they have been at it since Nov last year. They’re mad because gold is almost impossible to sell on Era because all the buyers went to SoD, Cata and Fresh.

I’d be fine with Era dying for a while it needs to cool it’s jets for a bit with all the GDKP and RMT.

I am in the same boat except I want permanent wrath servers when those come around. Hope we can get both permanent bc and wrath era realms.

While I agree that the “The sky is falling” doom saying prophesy disciples are pushing their own “religious fanatic” like narratives, calls to ban them or actually attempts to ban people for expressing such opinions might have the opposite of the intended effect.
It might be better to either ignore them, or call them out, e.g.
“WoW - dying since 2004”
I mean, everybody who posts on these forums is most likely capable of using the internet and reading, so it is reasonable to assume that everybody knows WoW is and has been the most successful game in its genre year over year pretty much always.
Someone suggested auto mute which I can be fine with.
I already have an add-on bad boy filters to filter out anything with the word dead. But I see others engage in chat who don’t also do this. The best thing is to ignore them but people engage with them and there isn’t really much of a conversation that doesn’t just end up in insults. Sometimes just leaving players further frustrated.
Meh it will probably be like 200 years from now. I am just sick of waiting. Like good lord.
GTA 6 will probably suck, not the same people anymore, I bet most people will just stay on 5.
