Epic Losses in a row can you beat it

Was it the one we just got out of?

No idea, I didn’t get a chance to see anything or check the damage charts for names, match was over so quick

Literally less than 5 seconds and “Horde wins!” flashes on the screen

Gotta love the matchmaking system

Ah if it was right before you posted it probably was. Gov, Niph and I were there. Pipi could have been but she doesn’t like us. :scream:

I dunno

Seems there’s been a lot of WG matches going this morning, first 2 epics that popped were WG so I ended up just afking out of those. Switched over to Alliance toon and got into that 4 second losing WG match I just described.

Just now had an IOC and then an AV, we lost both :-1:

EDIT: AV just popped again, we’ll see how this goes…

EDIT 2: We lost the AV… by the time our bunkers were burned the Frostwolf towers still had 3+ minutes left on the timer, the casuals attempted 2-tower Drek but wiped

What is it with all the “in progress” Wintergrasp games today?? :-1:

I just got dropped into another “in progress” losing Alliance Wintergrasp match where Alliance had 0 vehicles and Horde had 15 vehicles. There was still ~34 minutes left on the clock when I zoned in so I just AFKed out

Sorry to rant, but it’s just “in progress” match after “in progress” match on Alliance today

WG is just a steaming pile right now. I went from loving epics to avoiding them because of it.

You’re not gonna believe this but, I just swapped to one of my Horde toons and queued merc (to wait out my Alliance toon’s deserter) and surprise surprise… Wintergrasp pops again

It was another “in progress” loss :-1: , different from the one I just left on my Alliance toon. It seemed like it had just started since I saw “time elapsed: 5 minutes” at the bottom of the bg charts. There were 35 / 40 Alliance players when I zoned in, so I presume it was 34 before I backfilled in.

I just left a few moments ago

Wintergrasp is the biggest “revolving door” bg I’ve ever seen, even AV isn’t this bad unless Alliance is getting utterly destroyed… certainly not like this only “5 minutes” into the match

I was trying to cap conquest every week getting one win of each type a day when I could get on but now not bothering. I don’t have the time to do much as it is. WG has been the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen in this game. Not even Seething Shore!

As you know I very much dislike afk’ing bgs but I do understand leaving that one and probably would myself if I got it. Hence I don’t queue epics without some people I know who figured out how to tell what the bg is. Idk how but they can.

Seething Shore isn’t nearly as bad, usually over in < 15 minutes, so there’s no point in leaving that one. Usually I’ll just play it out in Seething Shore, those games are quick.

WG on the other hand… :grimacing:

I plod through that one. Usually lose it but not from lack of me trying anyway.

And it is IMPOSSIBLE for Alliance to use Merc mode, because it is a horde benefit. Oh, I know what it’s stated purpose is, but Merc Mode is the game telling the devs that it’s broken and they refuse to fix it.

Horde players can merc on our side, sabotage, taunt, whatever and then go back to horde.

Re-queued on my Alliance and got AV

It was another backfill game but the score was pretty even when I zoned in.

Long story short, we ended up winning via reinforcements and we even summoned Ivus :+1:

Things got pretty chaotic and Horde ended up killing Ivus around the Frostwolf GY area, but the distraction he provided allowed us to sneak in a Galv kill in the background. While Horde was busy fighting Ivus, we were taking down Galv. Killing Galv brought Horde down to like 78-79 reinforcements.

Once we killed Galv we turtled up in one of the frostwolf towers and won as soon as it burned.

These are the kinds of games I like, good stuff :+1:

If you are an Alliance Q by yourself Is not a good ideal right now.

Isn’t that indication of a huge faction problem, though? I have two friends left after the rest moved on to other games (they thought Alliance PvP was bad THEN).
I can’t always match up with them and I’ve won like three AVs on this toon. Like as in I lost 27 AVs.

You actually ‘stayed’ in a WG!

No ways re. not liking you guys! I like you guys LOTS. I see Gov and Niph just fine. You just need to play when I am on.

And don’t worry, I am on the lookout for you whenever I get on Pipi. :hugs:

The increasingly disgusting queue times on horde side are an indicator IMO. A few weeks ago, horde queues were “manageable” even during the odd hours I normally play. But now they are quite bad, to the point that I see more good horde players I recognize actually mercing (when they usually don’t).

When there IS such faction mixing in the epic BGs - and mercs are playing how they should and not trolling - outcomes are a little better for alliance because of these mercs’ good attitudes towards wanting to win.

So why don’t some horde want mixed faction BGs? We already have it thru the merc system. The “but lore” argument falls apart because the merc system exists.

People underestimate the amount of damage to morale that months and months of very poor win ratios has done to alliance as a faction in epic BGs. However that doesn’t mean there aren’t good alliance left. It’s just that there often aren’t enough of us to pull the dead weight of the suffocating alliance defeatists and trolls. If some horde are going to say “suck it up, losers - no mixed faction,” then they ought to also suffer terrible queues.

I don’t. It’s VERY apparent that if the horde score early or take X point early that half my team gives up. They sit at spawn point, they RUN AWAY from the horde.

God help us once we start getting GY camped.

“US”? You main Alliance?

I agree, Merc Mode should be understood by the devs as the game TELLING THEM something is wrong. If you choose horde which obviously has more PvP players than Alliance (hence the 2-3 time longer wait queue) then they should deal with the consequences or roll Alliance.

I play both sides, but at this point yes I main alliance. However, Pipi is my horde main. Whatever side I’m playing I play to win. Lately I’ve just been getting more grossed out when on alliance because so many alliance (and possible bad mercs) don’t want to try. IMO if you don’t want to try, if you expect an epic BG to take only 15 minutes, then please do not queue for epic BGs. Anyway, I see people come into ally epics who whine & complain from the moment they enter to the moment they leave, exclaiming variations on “You guys suck” and “Told you we were going to lose” (euphemisms, of course).

Alliance is just getting so sad and hard to play with. It’s draining.
