They don’t allow it but they don’t prohibit it either
There are just technical limitations to 5 man groups
And people found a solution to that limitations
If it was against the rules the will of the devs or whatever you call it they could just limit the bgs to allow only 1 premade group to each team on every proc and the rest 35 people are complete randoms that solo que the bg

Actions speak louder than words I read that blue post and yeah some guy with blue letters said that bgs not meant for big organized groups and they will do something about that yeah fine
But in 12 years the devs did nothing to deal with that problem they didn’t ban people that play in premades they didn’t change the matchmaking algorithms they didn’t come up with a new activity for big organized groups
so maybe but just maybe this guy not really connected with the dev team?

And everyone including the devs know that and do nothing about that that means that the devs don’t care and it’s their will
