Nope. I didn’t. Blizzard forced that story, but have been loosening it up, borderline retconning it.

I know how it may sound but I don’t really remember how to get to it. It was on their reddit. It was just a community question about allied race customizations. I only stumbled upon it. It was a while ago.

Such a minority that’s why blizzard is going all-in on it. Riiiight… again. Denial.

Cries in Arcane Torrent.

They won’t go all-in on it at all. It’s something they said that they won’t actually do or act on, ever. Or by the time they do yet another scandal will be happening that is likely going to be worse than the current scandals!

Sure. Okay. Let’s just say it, make a big deal about it, and then just not do it for reasons… Hey. Maybe they are liars. But them being liars isn’t exactly a good look for them right now.

When I play my Void Elf I love seeing her go all purple, I pop all my CDs and do great damage!

I would not be surprised. They have lied about many things, way too many things.

I mean, they are already beginning the steps. It doesn’t make sense to only go halfway. I guess we’ll find out when it happens. But I seriously doubt they are going to lie about this. Still. You are saying it won’t happen as a fact. But right now all we have to go on is their word, which they said will happen. So you are going against what blizzard said. Your only argument is they lie sometimes, which, it just isn’t a good enough argument.

If you wait to pop your CDs for every Entropic you will do less damage. It’s too random, and the buff is so small it doesn’t really make a difference. But hey. I’m not saying it should be removed. I said it should be a toggle. You like it don;t untoggle it. Simple.

No, my argument is that them doing this would ruin the game.

I used to want every class on every race many years ago until I sat down and thought about it a bit more. The conclusion I came to is that it is harmful to faction, class, and racial identity for the entire game as well as the lore. All of which are important. They have ruined enough, I don’t want to encourage them to ruin more.

The only way I see this working is if they treated a few classes similar to the druids, giving multiple forms or class skins so as to retain general identity of these classes but also allow people to choose what they would want to use at any given time, that also doesn’t harm things and make it all homogenized.

The best example I have is that if they did give velf paladins. Give them regular light based paladins but also void based ones like a Riftblade or something. Essentially making the class a skin but it would retain identity enough for me to not be mad about it.

My VE is low level still (30), so I think it is ok for her?

At 30 it doesn’t make a lick of difference. Unless you’re a min maxer even at end game it doesn’t make a difference.

That’s your opinion. Many don’t agree. I fail to see how letting players play what they want would end up ruining the game. Just makes players who want certain options happy. The only way it affects you is just having to look at it and getting grumpy about it. Which is stupid.

I won’t say you’re lying because I was not there. But I don’t know, I don’t know.

Making these changes would upset more people than not. Remember this is where the minority is and always will be. Also, I literally said what could work or be better at making both sides happy.

It was a small thread. So I can’t remember where to find it anymore. I only came across it while looking around at void elf stuff. But it was basically a dev asking about all sorts of allied race customizations and what players wanted to see. And when it got to void elf players it was mostly them asking for EE toggle and natural hair styles. Though there were a few that wanted tattoos and some more void glow.

They may go the route of class skins. They said they are adding the classes, they never said how that would be implemented. And no, I seriously doubt it’s a minority thing. I can’t see Blizz pushing it this hard for a few minorities.

The rest of what I said was they weren’t going to remove it for role play purposes.

EE is also a very weak racial compared to arcane torrent.

It’s for visual purposes as well. Entropic Embrace just makes things far more visually cluttered when it appears. It’s just better not having it at all. The “tell” it gives me is more of a hindrance than anything, because I don’t need this big ridiculous visual for the smallest buff in existence.

Void elves were clearly not what people wanted and hence why they even relented and gave the high elven skins.

Or maybe customization trumps old lore. Look, we already know lorewise everyone can be any class(as an example, we had pandarian death knights back in WoD). But the lore reason they are not made playable is there are relatively few of them. Times change as Garrosh would say and people change.

Interestingly the reason we even have class restrictions is due to old DnD style class/alignement restriction and nowadays that is pretty much gone/alot looser. WoW’s “identity” has always been changing hence why we got alot of new class/race combos added in Cata and with enough lore Blizzard can make any race have the necessary back story to make any class viable.

Ah yes, 4266 replies, totally nobody.

I for one want more void options. I want an Entropic Embrace Toggle - but the other way. I want to be able to keep the appearance on.
