Entitlement in WoW Over GMOD Mount

So I was running LFR Jaina trying to get the GMOD mount and I said in raid chat that I’m happy that Blizz made it accessible to farm this mount by the majority of the player base. This gives me a good reason to run more LFR.

I get a sarcastic response of “yay trophies for everyone”.

That reminded me of the comments that WarcraftDevs received when they announced that Jaina LFR would be dropping it.

I can’t believe there are players that need to feel superior to others and get offended that they allow us ALL to have a chance to get beautifully designed mounts.

The horror! /s

I am not opposed to it. Though it is nice for those to have some exclusive ones for harder content.

Imagine the horror of seeing someone with only LFR in their profile riding around on an exclusive mount. Why can’t the devs create content with a lower resolution so the casuals will know their place. My life only has meaning if my pixels can lord over someone else’s less great pixels.

Tomfoolery would dictate that the comments are from bots.
Now they have to do the entire instance to receive their payments for the real money carries.

So in my opinion it’s welcome step.

I just dont do LFR in general since I go with my guild, but if mounts drops from lfr, that seems fair, that way you’ll have less people showing off being jerks

The best of everything is found in harder content, a vanity item isn’t going to break the game if they allow access to everyone.

Sometimes people need to grow up a little.

kids nowadays. Every time i comes here and wonders what they think growing up without all their new toys. have to actually work a job to go on dates. Instead of sitting home playing video games. Shhesh

There’s still a mount in the raid that cannot be obtained in LFR, or even any difficulty other than Mythic - the Glacial Tidestorm from Mythic Jaina only.

They can go clear Mythic and try to get their “special trophy” if they want to. What does it hurt to have a mount everyone can try to get?

I could at least see where they are coming from if this was the only mount that dropped. I do feel sometimes that harder content should give you a little trophy to show off.

But Jaina has a mythic only mount. LIke…there IS a special trophy. Why should there be two? I am confuzzled by people sometimes.

Everything that has been added to the game since late in Vanilla has been decried as catering to casuals, “letting everybody win”, etc.

Personally I’m on the fence on having mounts drop in LFR although if there are mounts that only drop in higher difficulties I feel I’m more ok with the LFR dropped ones.

Can’t say I care either way. I know the mount will never drop for me on any difficulty. Let other’s enjoy it if it drops for them.

With how rare the mount is in mind, I don’t think it’s a big deal if LFR also has a chance to drop it.

Perhaps LFR, Normal, Heroic and Mythic should all have different variants of a particularly rare mount.

Jaina drops a mythic only mount. Most raids strictly drop a mythic only mount. This is an added bonus for everyone, regardless of skill level or amount of time they spend playing, can achieve. Blizzard NEEDS more mounts like this. It’s added content. It’s more stuff that we have to work towards. Blizzard cannot win. If there’s not enough content, we complain. If there’s extra content, we complain.

This mount doesn’t impact anyone. Ironically most of the people complaining about this type of content aren’t even in a position to get it themselves if it were to drop exclusively to difficult tiers.

There shd be mounts exclusive to every raid level …LFR, Normal , heroic, mythic etc

If there is a definition of an “excusive mount”, then that title belongs well and truly to the Love Rocket, which pretty much has the lowest drop rate of ANY mount in WOW.

With a two week limitation.

So really, the GMOD isnt “exclusive” at all.

Eh,let the elitists whine,they’d get their jimmies rustled no matter what happens. If they’re miserable,everyone has to be too,they’re allegedly God’s gift to games therefore they feel only THEY deserve nice things and casual and moderate players should just bugger off.

They dont realize that their e-peen flaunting and gatekeeping bollocks to keep the “riff raff/normies” out is asinine and is one of many things that continue making the gaming community look bad. Seriously my dudes,if getting rustled jimmies at the thought of other people getting mounts and pixilated armor withpurple text is a main gripe,you must have a VERY cushy life. [Not you OP even if some of your posts do come off trollish]

Giving rewards to boost morale is NOT a bad thing so never did understand the “participation trophy” strawman. If given some semblance of a reward for your contribution/fruits of labor,it boosts morale and encourages people to keep at it rather than block em out as though they somehow don’t deserve nice things like EVER. This beats the outdated gearing system where the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.
