Entitlement in WoW Over GMOD Mount

Except that it is, since it has a low % chance to drop and you are limited to one chance per week per character.

Whiners gonna whine.

This is a mentality that has gone on all the way back to vanilla; only back then it was purple gear.

There are those that actually believe people care what gear or what mount they are wearing, and worship them as they dance atop the bank in Orgrimmar.

I think the best way they’ve done the more “exclusive” mounts are the final expansion Ahead of the Curve ones. The wolf from SoO, moose from HFC, and the bird from AtBT, these remain pretty exclusive. Sure you can buy a carry (and many sell those) but it’s a neat way to have something for the Heroic and above raiders.

For this one, I honestly don’t care if it drops in LFR. All of the raid mounts never drop for me current content (no worm or fire dog or infernal for me last expansion) and I raided the place Heroic at current content for months. So it dropping in LFR gives me the option to pursue it alongside running Heroic, and I’m all for those options.

I mean to some extent, thats what people want. They want a clear classification of players. Which is why so many people are against things like Titanforging. While i argue things like Titanforging are offset by the items listed quality, “LFR,NORMAL,HEROIC,MYTHIC” It’s not enough for some. I wager a different tint to the LFR version would be sufficient. People will disagree about the titanforging bit but its true, even if they dont want to admit it.

I’m not opposed, I do think the move to make it drop from Jaina was the right thing to do however.

I totally get where you’re coming from. And, unfortunately, the biggest trophy cutting edge players get today is a score from an add-on that’s not so easily displayed.

What people call rewards in this game have always struck me as a bit odd. I have never been able to wrap my head around thinking of the gear, the mounts or the in-game stuff as any kind of actual reward. Blizzard could put it all in the Recycle Bin tomorrow and just go hang-gliding.

Eh, Im not too bothered by lfr having the mount but I’d much prefer normal or higher having it because the original reason lfr was a thing is for story telling.
But again, im not a mount collector, so I don’t mind which boss drops the mount/what difficulty.

I think the way they did it was fine… a LFR mount and then another mount just for Mythic. There’s still a “prestigious” mount.

That is where you made your mistake!

Mounts have varying levels of prestige, and this has been true throughout the history of the game. G.M.O.D. was never supposed to be an ultra-rare exclusive mount during BfA’s lifetime. Not the most common mount, sure, but not inaccessible outside of devoted higher-end content. It’s like the Blue Proto Drake from Skaldi in H UP vs. Mimiron’s Head.

Look for the water elemental mount from M Jaina if you want something with a little more exclusivity.

The difference is time. A serious raider will take much less time to clear the raid and get the rewards. Someone in LFR will work longer to get similar rewards. Sounds like a good system to me.

I think it’s fine that it does. There’s already an AOTC quest mount that Blizz usually puts in, in every expansion and there’s already the mythic mount from final bosses.

It’s fine that they have those.

Plus, the people complaining - you can get other “hard mounts” expansions later like Invincible. So not sure how much of a special trophy these are.

Just ignore people like that.

While I think that they shouldn’t just give every mount to everyone at the same time, I think the current system in place is pretty fair.

Either be really good to get certain mounts or wait a couple expansions.

Seems reasonable.

the mythic mount is 100% drop… trophies for everyone right there…

Well thats disingenuous.

This is pretty much it. Life in general would be so much nicer if people would quit worrying about what other people have.

No I do not.
I feel like they could make this game relevant all over azeroth by adding more of this sort of thing in. Make me WANT to explore the world. Easter eggs everywhere. Find transmog in a cave somewhere. A mount over there behind a rock. Really low %, obviously. 1 in 10,000 maybe.
But it gives decent incentive to go looking.
They could do it all over the game world. It’d get people back into areas of old content like they keep trying to do with pointless crap like this mythical portal hub I keep hearing about when we’re talking unicorns and aliens.
Im all for it because it make it worth doing stuff other than a stupid azerite shard or 75 flippin rep.

I think it should be a guaranteed drop form completing normal+. That’s what you should be rewarded for completing the current raid in a premade group.
