Entitled dual-wielding/2H "tanks"

Like Kraven said, he posted a how to by a very skilled and knowledgeable player. That player stated when it makes sense to dw fury tank and when not to. He also stated that the tank should be ready to switch to sword and board if the situation changes.

I wouldn’t dismiss a playstyle that works in many situations because you’ve seen some players use the build incorrectly. Try to help them.

What are you talking about? you dont even need to be prot spec till raids. look up guides you will see all types of tanks in classic.

You don’t need to spec prot. You just want your healers to spec Holy. Double-standard. No thanks. Know your role.

Hey OP. How about you realize we are on the burning crusade patch. The content is so easy. Shortage of tanks. When it’s more fun to 2h tank and be the superior dual wield fury/prot build.

Get over yourself. No one wants to be in these dungeons all day when it can be done faster and better with a dual wield fury/prot tank.

Burning Crusade patch was 2.0.X. This is not the BC patch. Learn your patches before speaking.

This isn’t the BC patch, that was patch 2.0.3 I think. We’re playing the pre-patch to BC and this patch and the few before did make changes to streamline the gameplay and difficulty.

Never said that? how is it double standard on something I never said? And i see shadow priests healing dungeons just fine. You are so clueless about everything and so out of date.

Shadow priests actually have effective healing buttons. Fury/Arms warriors do not have effective mitigation. “Na ah! We have parry!!!” Oh the REEEEEE’ing from the poser tanks.

It is recommended even as fury prot to take some prot talents. The shield is not always necessary because the tank is capable of generating more threat allowing the dps to go ham and clear faster. This in turn balances out the healers mana because the fight is ending sooner. The build and strategy for this also requires good dps.

Yeah you are completely out of date if you think arms and fury cant tank dungeons.
Look up guides you lack so much info. Google stuff.

Oh, I see. So it just requires everyone to be “good.” News flash, this isn’t what you run into in a PuG (or even in guild runs at times). So if you’re going to tank in a PuG, spec accordingly.

This is also the same tired argument of the warrior needing everyone else to carry them in the group, because they don’t want to spec according to the role they insist on playing.

Take it from someone who’s leveled Protection, you DO NOT want to tank pre level 50 dungeons as full protection. You’ll be mitigating so much damage that you’ll rage starve yourself. it’s better to be dps spec and tank so you do take damage to build rage.

Ya they are spec right. Look up fury/prot. Why should I have to take twice as long in a dungeon. When DPS can go balls to the wall. When fury/prot has the best TPS. Blame blizzard for giving us easy mode patch.

Except it takes twice as long to clear the dungeon because you just wiped the group with your MAD DPS.

Imagine wanting to do a dungeon slower because you enjoy watching the healer drink after each pull.

Now I’m thinking you’re a troll or just experiencing warrior envy. If you honestly had a bad experience in a dungeon you would have been like any sane adult and excepted that it’s not a black and white matter. And then choose to play with warriors that know when it is appropriate to use a shield or not.

It’s a troll, why do you think he’s posting on his retail toon?

Only response to this. Get gud. Seriously look up the spec. Don’t heal if you can’t take the private server meta.
