now that we’re in Wrath it’s beyond easy to solo old instances, Im even betting that by the end of the xpac gear I could probably solo some normal phase 1 wrath dungoens. So how cool would it be if we could enter old raids while solo? Molten Core is just sitting there full of essence of fire, and I need repair bots. please Blizz 🥹

This isn’t even a feature in retail so I doubt this will be in WotLK, just get someone to invite your alt.

Huh… I could’ve sworn I saw streamers in groups when they solo’d raids which is why I thought that it wasn’t a feature.

Log to an alt. Invite a guildy. Convert to raid. Make him leader. Hop to your main (whoever you want to run the raid on), have your guildy invite you to raid and promote you. He can drop.

you can absolutely go in any raid solo on retail, I’ve been farming mounts for years.
gimme a minute to log in. I found a macro that you spam when walking in the entrance that lets you in solo. I will copy paste it in a few minutes.
/run InviteUnit(“a”);C_Timer.After(.25,function() ConvertToRaid() end)
That is the macro you make, and just spam it repeatedly while running into the entrance. Doesn’t always work, but just run back a few feet n do it over, you’ll get in within a few tries. Basically it invites someone that don’t exist to the group and you run in before it realizes it. As for easy mode, sadly they are not. To deter boosting, Blizzard gave some trash mobs these stuns that if multiple hit you with at once, you will not survive. You may be more skilled than me though, I tried Zul Gurub and got floor stomped, then tried Onyxia and got killed almost thru the whelp phase. You can def get in though, so good luck to you.

There’s no anti-boosting mechanics in raids. What killed you were the ZG Axe Throwers, which have an ability with 100% hit chance and stuns you on each hit. There are numerous comments on the Wowhead page for these mobs talking about how deadly they are to solo 80s, from original Wrath.
ah thanks. I only made it as far as the area below the first boss and got overwhelmed by the sheer amount of trash. I have much better gear now too, I tried in all 70 pvp gear. It’s fun to try though, never know, might get that tiger mount n have nobody to roll against.
Get a guild
since that recent change about raids count toward the 5times lock per hour I’m then able to enter kara by being in party without converting to raid, dunno if all other old raids can be entered in party as well or not.

You may have seen a Legion run. legion has been an issue with squishes and such so sometimes they needed groups. But its for mechanics. some really need 2 or more there for reasons. or to make it faster.
Mog and mount hunting old raid has been past time for many in retail for years though.
Arthas ahs died many times. too…many times. and still no mount.
I’m pretty sure you could solo enter an old raid in retail. People powerleveled in Karazhan so much they nerfed it.
