Enough of this nonsense. Fix mining

Except you have no evidence that either of these things is a lie. You simply refuse to believe everyone and assume they are all liars.

I haven’t reached thorium mining on my Classic toon, but I have no reason to doubt that the people in this thread are telling the truth.

You, frankly, look ridiculous spewing this nonsense that everyone is a liar and misremembers the way mining worked in Vanilla.

Just a Blizzard Fanboy, I would not worry about it.

No that’s the retail players that are used to getting it all in one tap and forgetting that in vanilla you had to hit it multiple times. Either that or they never played vanilla to begin with and didn’t know what to expect

WAHHHHHH WAAAAAAAAHHH

Jesus christ. cry more. #nochanges

He’s not…entirely wrong. There was at least one instance of a guild which was layer-hopping inside instances to abuse instant dungeon resets.

From what I understand the players involved were insta-demolished by Blizzard and the exploit was recently hotfixed.

The burden of proof lies on the person(s) making the claim… If I tell you there’s a dragon on the dark side of the moon, it’s on me to prove to you that it’s there.

People are claiming that you could get X number of taps in vanilla and people are claiming they are only getting Y number of taps on classic. There is no credible proof of either so far.

You realise this bug literally makes mining as a profession around 40% worse than it should be? Level mining all the way to 300 so you can find a small thorium node that despawns after 1 tap?

This is a serious issue, mining as a profession is broken at the moment.

No that’s really not what is happening at all. Every node that is spawning has 1 less tap in it. I played Vanilla. Small Thorium always had at least 2, sometimes 3. In Classic its 1 or 2. Rich Thorium was 3-5, in Classic it’s 2-4. Not once have I gotten a small thorium with 3, or a large thorium with 5. Thorium is 100% bugged.

There are percent chances with the number of taps a node can have. It might go something like this for a node that can get up to 4 taps out of:
1 tap: 100%
2 taps: 75%
3 taps: 25%
4 taps: 5%

Show credible and unaltered proof of both using the method I outlined earlier.

I swear that Onyxia deep breathes more often in classic than she did in vanilla… I’m right about this and you’re wrong if you disagree!

Right. But in Vanilla, the percentage change a small thorium would only have 1 tap was zero. In Classic it’s 60%.

There was no such thing as a node with only a single tap in it in Vanilla. Thorium is bugged.

Show the proof:

  1. Run the game’s built in stop watch
  2. Record
  3. Wait for a fresh rich thorium vein to spawn
  4. Tap it until it vanishes
  5. Repeat a few times
  6. Post unedited proof for others to see

Sigh. Completely and utterly debunked by Blizz.

I don’t really need to prove anything to you, small thorium always gave at least 2 taps in Vanilla. In classic, most nodes only have 1.

Also completely irrelevant to this topic.

I read the initial post… I know what the situation is there. Look at the comment from the guy that I replied to in that post. What I had to say was directly to him not the OP

Show the proof of getting 2 taps 100% of the time in vanilla and show proof that you’re only getting 1 tap on classic on a FRESH node that has just respawned (try instances that spawn nodes in them to 100% be certain they haven’t been tapped yet).

Nothing I post will satisfy you anyway, why on Earth would I waste my time doing this?

If you show me a video with the following:

  1. Run the game’s built in stop watch
  2. Record
  3. Wait for a fresh node to spawn
  4. Tap it until it vanishes
  5. Repeat a few times
  6. Post unedited proof for others to see

Do this for small and rich thorium veins and I will believe you.

Right, and they provided evidence in the form of first person eyewitness accounts and written records. They met their burden of proof.

You responded by making a new claim, that they are lying. The burden of proof now rests on you to support that claim.

No, 15 year old anecdotes are not proof. Fanpage wiki articles are not proof.
