Earth Shield is now baseline. Earth Shield no longer has a set amount of charges and instead operates as a 30 minute buff.
Earth Shield talent replaced with Shield Mastery
Shield Mastery: Earth Shield gives 20% damage reduction when cast on yourself. Lightning shield effect increased by 100%.
This small change now gives the Shaman some better survivability for themselves, but doesn’t break any dungeon/raid tuning by also giving others the 20% reduction when Earth Shield is casted on them. If you still want to cast Earth Shield on say the tank for example, Shield Mastery will still be beneficial for you because it will boost your Lightning Shield damage as well.
The removal of Earth Shield charges is a simple QoL fix for a dumb issue (constantly recasting it over and over).
