Would engineering much that much a difference between being purple to orange parsing as certain casters like elemental and arcane…Or is it a 5k+ gs thing
I feel like 99% of raids I do anymore everyone is engineering

I’d like to know this, too. I feel like as you’ve pointed out, the top parses seem to be using Engineering.
Maybe it’s worth investing in engineering and seeing if it makes that big of a difference.

At some point wow gets 2 craftings worth something. Engineering and alchemy.
AH access new expac cities (engineer only), loot a rang to come, and wormhole generators. Its the forced assimilation with actually nice benefits in time.
No, engineering is not that large of a difference.
It’s the best profession, but not by enough to matter all that much.
It’s just generally widely taken due to having some extras on top of the highest DPS potential, like rocket boots among other quality of life improvements.
At the same time Hyperspeed Accelerators is just too strong for caster.
+340 haste for 12 second every minute is huge.

I think it sims about 130 dps higher then not using eng. I wouldnt say its the difference between purple and orange parses though
It is the best profession for a lot of dps classes which is why most of the top end players take it. Is it so good that it will change your parses from purple to orange? Maybe. It is an increase but not enough to just completely change your parses.
But between the dps increase it gives, the boots for movement, and rocket gloves for pvp, it’s a must get for all my alts. At this point it would be odd to raid without the boots.
1 dps could make the difference between orange and purple. Engineering is a very good profession, though.
Engineering not only gives you the glove tinker and bombs to do damage, but also bombs that silence, freeze, and incapacitate, an AoE stun on mechanical enemies on a 1 minute CD, a parachute on your cloak, rocket boots, mind control, invisibility, a rez, repair bots, mailboxes, and soon Jeeves which provides bank access on the fly. Oh, and an AH in Dal.
It’s just the best profession by a mile, for a lot of reasons other than dps.
