If you change “certainly” with “in my opinion” then sure.
How we measure “number of tanks” would be worth defining if we were to begin to understand this “problem” enough to define it. Which would be a prerequisite to even starting to discuss whether it even is a problem, nevermind what potential solutions might be.
This thread is actually more of a “I like and want Dual Spec.” type thread. And then some, “Duals spec would make more tanks, and not enough tanks is a problem.” type thing.
It’s a solution looking for a problem, but not a thread about a problem (not enough tanks), that is discussing how to solve it. It’s just a proponent of Dual Spec.
Dual Spec is, in my opinion an anti-feature that can cause quite a bit of harm to the game. It also doesn’t solve most (if any) of the problems it aims to solve, while creating problems that didn’t exist before, such as PuGs requiring hybrids to have multiple PVE specs and gear to support them.
It’s also not something that existed in the original TBC, and would require coding changes to TBC Classic.
I have a thread with a better solution and some problem definitions: No Dual Spec: Something Better
If you really believe that Dual Spec is a solution, can you clearly define the problem it solves? Do you have any reason(s) why reducing fees for respecc’ing wouldn’t solve those same problems as well?
