okay, we’re talking about two different eras but the same basic issue.
it’s bad enough when players have only the illusion of choice. when they don’t even have that? woof.

Wouldn’t that be a balance issue rather than it existing? 2 rows of utility, questionable affinity row.
DK: 2 rows of utility again.
DH: One row of utility.
Priest: 3 rows of utility (equal to druid imo.)
It’s an issue that Blizzard’s design staff spent a grand total of 10 minutes over 10 years even thinking about Guardian Druids.
I would say that the class design team should be replaced, but I seriously doubt there’s even a team anymore.
Seems like if people at Blizzard are bored, they redesign a spec even if it has been redesigned before previously.
And some specs? remain, even if the players want stuff changed.
The guy who does class design only cares about a couple specs he plays.
Which is less than:
So youre good to go
So push +11’s and +12’s? Are you saying those dungeons are nigh impossible for these tank specs, while +10’s are so easy that they can be tanked with a hunter pet?
All dungeons at +12 looks like it puts you at around 2.9k according to mythicplanner. com. So you don’t even have to go above +12s…
At what point did I say I don’t care about balance? I said I don’t care about balance at the level where it affects the top minutia of players, so long as the game is balanced for where the overwhelming majority of players play. I’ll also add that so long as its reasonably balanced at where rewards stop, I’m perfectly fine with it going crazy past that. From what I can see in the data… it’s more than balanced for exactly that.
There are such things as shades of grey in an argument position.
You say this, but you achieved key levels you previously topped off at. You did 20s in DF S3 which is TWW S1 +10s.
Like I said, BM needs to be focused on but it’s not going to stop 95% of the player base from hitting their mark.
You’re using a % to describe the unimportance of a group of people in a theme park MMO, it’s a lot of people
Yes, i’m saying only prot paladin can do 11s and 12s.
There we go, we care about different things, end of argument?
Looking at raiderio for even 1 second you can tell brewa didn’t “top off” lmao
Well, that’s a you problem, and not supported by data.
rip, got me
It’s a waste of resources. They have literally never gotten it so perfect that the top minutia of players feel like they can pick any spec of a specific role and have it not impact their play. Never.
Definition of insanity mate.
Yup… You care about balance for at best the top 10%, and at worst the top 0.18% of players while I care about it for everyone else. Not to mention the fact that we’re assuming that the ONLY difference in these numbers is performance, and it has nothing to do with community perception. Or are you going to argue that the other tanks literally can’t do +12-16’s next?
I’d rather they put resources to making a good experience for the 90 - 99% of players.
Yup, and you don’t, and that’s fine.
Tuning specs hardly qualifies as resources.
Sometimes the top end meta 3-4 tank specs wide though.
And Blizzard should focus on the ones that are left out, instead of ignoring them year after year.
Anything more than 1 i’de consider a success, with the trailing specs not being miles behind
Yea there’s quite the bias as to be expected. That is why we should take what they say with that in mind.
I think it helps prot paly is a lot of fun right now.
Playing elune’s chosen bear feels pretty meh.
Brm, I’m really missing DF tier bonuses. Just feels incomplete without.
Mountain thane prot war is probably the 2nd most fun right now.
In terms of straight up fun guardian druid this expansion is insane with how boring it is
What keys did he do in past seasons? What keys is he doing now. Oh right the same.
