Anyone else feel like the ghouls need to be toned down a bit? I’ve left 3 groups now that just have terrible dps and can’t make the check. How blizzard expects us to carry all these fresh boosties doing 7k is beyond my understanding but if they want us to do it then there needs to be a way to actually make a dps check with boostie dps…
Nope, not at all. It is a DPS check. If you can’t make it, you can always wait until the last second and run through the miasma and live.
use a movement speed ability and you can go through.
I’m for a slight nerf. Just because individuals might know how to survive, doesn’t mean the group can 3 or 4 man the boss AND survive another ring of ghouls.
There’s currently a dead zone of “could queue twilights but probably kicked because gear too low,” where End Time farming would help, except sometimes you get blocked by Sylvanas.
The fact that people are suggesting you can sprint through shows the dps isn’t high enough in their groups either.
You forgot one, the “ima wear all this gear without actually knowing how to play my class” crowd.
it was a dps check back then too. tell your teammates to sandbag cooldowns for the ghoul.
9 times out of 10 it’s because randoms don’t know what to do. Granted, you’d think it would be obvious, but even out of the groups that have wiped to her I’ve yet to encounter a group that straight up can’t beat the dps check once they’re actually told what to do
Make a mark skull addon. Helps people know which one to hit.
Had a wipe in there because 1 of the dpw was hitting the ghoul opposite side if the one everyone else was hitting.
I think it’s more that people don’t have the brains to recognize what to do. End times have been a lot easier than the original except for that one mechanic
I put down the skull flag icon over the one I want dead and I tell the group specifically to nuke that one. I didn’t know there was a “dead zone” but I’ve left three of those in three days just due to getting Sylv and 3 boosted DPS. I can carry them through the others, it’s a bit of a slog but I get it done.
Example though one person doing 6.4k, the other doing 7.5k, the last doing 12.3k. As the tank I’m doing about 35-40% of overall boss damage. There’s 100% a chance to be failing that dps check, sounds like people in the comments haven’t been getting a full group of boosties though. I’ll have to test this dead zone thing because I can see this being a problem for a looooong time.
That boss can be three manned by a decent tank, healer, and dps that know what they are doing even if they can’t make the DPS check.
That’s pretty much the topic. Freshies can’t make that check and blizz expect them to.
Then they need to learn to play their class. Pretty simple.
So if I tell you they’re all excellent at their class but terrible dps due to the greens they’re given off the start, what then? That still won’t overcome the amount of damage required.
You’re not wrong that these particular people weren’t fantastic at their class but I challenge you to bring 3 DPS in with 359 greens in there to make that check. You’re welcome to pick the sweatiest most elitest crew ever, but they need to fit that gear description. Then and only then can I take this reasoning more seriously.
You do know that there isn’t a primary stat difference between 359 green and 359 epic gear right? 359 gear is 359 gear. The primary difference between the two is some slots have gem slots. Lets look at the gear shall we.
Darkwalker Jerkin [Uncommon]
341 Agi
512 Stamina
228 Crit
228 Hit
Assassin’s Chestplate [Epic]
321 Agi +50 Agi when gemmed with a rare quality Agi gem
512 Stam
243 Crit
173 Hit
Lets look at a weapon now.
Partisan Greatsword [Uncommon]
1247 DPS
341 Str
512 Stam
244 Mastery
200 Crit
Reclaimed Ashkandi, Greatswrod of the Brotherhood [Epic]
623 DPS
341 Str
512 Stam
228 Crit
228 Hit
The uncommon one is clearly better.
I can guarantee you that you wouldn’t need the sweatiest and most elite crew of DPS players for them to clear all the 5m content in the boost greens. You just need your average decent player that know how to play their class and will actually enchant their gear.
This isn’t a gear issue, it is a skill issue. I don’t believe content should be nerfed because people refuse to learn to play their class, refuse to enchant their gear, and/or refuse to learn mechanics.
Yeah but I don’t want my alts to be blocked by “do these people know what they’re doing?” RNG.
Then group with friends and guildies. Have the random dungeon finder find random teammates for you and you’ll be subjected to randomness. Kind of how that works.
Was just in a Well with a ret pally that looked like it was boosted, using Divine Storm on 2 targets (shouldnt do that because you gain absolutely nothing) and was constantly last in DPS. Didnt kick though because everything was dying.
Also, why do tanks just make it so in the last half of Peroth’arn you dont have your damage and crit boost? At least let it get to like 15 seconds or something instead of 2. Its not really making anything faster.
The ghouls are supposed to have a debuff that increases their damage taken as their HP gets lower. This appears to not be working which is why the dps check feels so unforgiving.
I was just in an End Time on my DK where the boomy couldn’t even break 10k dps on Murozond. Needless to say, the Sylvanas fight was a struggle, and we wiped multiple times.
