This current system wasn’t designed to handle premades on the scale that everyone is using. This is a player created problem, and by them continually doing it since the near start of classic launch… This has become a major issue, to a very large part of the game. Players created this for the simple advantage of using discord or other voice chat programs to increase their chances of winning by a large margin. That’s how it is now, that’s not how it was back then.
People have forcibly created hardware issues for the game itself.
By creating fresh instances that will allow them to accomodate their full group (10,15 or more), at the expense of stragglers who come in after. Wasting server resources. This is done when the premade leaves the battleground, a new instance is opened up as the last one was viewed as full. So they are abusing the hardware and software resources of the game, to create a fresh new instance that will accomodate their team.
The consequences of having most of a bg’s one faction, leave immediately is this. The team that just lost the majority of the players, still has that countdown timer going. Which means, while the other team is probably full, they now have all those empty slots where stragglers will come in one at a time, sometimes two depending on the time of day. Most of the time, the side the premade left… will not have their full team when the bg itself starts / opens its gates. This puts them at a disadvantage, a rather big one. No prep. Few to No buffs. Short players. And it ticks off people who suffer from it.
In effect, that premade is exploiting the hardware and software on the server for a player created advantage. Which they continually and intentionally do. Remember why they took layering out? Same concept, different expected result as it was only impacting the pve side of the game. But on the pvp side, that’s something else.
Blizzard / Activision, needs to address this issue. As it stands now, making a premade on both sides is going to become the common norm. And these forums about it, will continue to grow on both sides. To that end, people will leave to find a less inbalanced pvp game where the odds aren’t always stacked on one side, or the other. Which means in blizzards case, the loss of revenue, until said problem is addressed, fixed, or removed.
If this is the future of pvp on this game, enjoying the pvp as i do. Its making me want to quit, as the large part of the game I should be enjoying, is not enjoyable at all. Games that are not fun, are often dropped in search of new ones.
It probably won’t be very long, when blizzard / activision does act, and starts banning people for abusing their hardware and software as mentioned above, or removing the group queue entirely to fix the issue. The strain it is having on the servers for the battlegrounds is going to grow, when it becomes a problem for them, it will be a BIG problem for the playerbase. Just a matter of time.
I’d also ask you all to keep in mind, the way that blizzard fixes something. Quick and simple, and in this case it will probably be the loss of: Join as group.
