When i did this in Vanilla, the only effort required was to sit at my couch with a laptop for countless hours for countless days listening to the raid leader say 2 things: Q popped and Its a pug! It took more effort to find the time to go to the store to buy more Arizona Ice Tea than it did to rank in Vanilla.

Totally agree with OP. Fact that you have to be in a premade to enjoy AB/WSG is lame. And for all the people saying “make your own premade you crybaby”, that is not a trivial task on some servers (like mine) where there are no active premade groups. Other servers have very few. So I would basically have to pick between staying to play with friends, or transferring to get into premades.
IMO, just get rid of queueing in groups of over 5 lol. This would let people play with friends without slaughtering every pug.

That is essentially a premade vs pug. Hiding behind a wall that gives you easy wins for rewards.

This is exactly why people who want the easy way premade, and also why same exact premades will sit in ghost form in GY when facing another premade after being wiped it’s absolutely pathetic.
They oppose Premade V Premade because that poses a challenge, guarantee that all of those GY AFK’ing premades would disappear as soon as the pugs and the premades are split.
The only thing left would be a fun Pug V Pug Q, and for those looking for more organized play a Premade V Premade option like in most PVP games.
Weeds out all the weak.

This is Classic. This isn’t TBC with arena, it’s not Cata with RBGS.
You really need to view this game differently.
In classic regular bgs can get you the best gear in the game. It should not be something that can be easily done soloable. It’s a game that relies on “premades” and “guilds” to complete content.
No one is telling you to not to queue up solo but just don’t expect to win.
Players dictated this by creating a meta around flawed game design. If that was the case, there would be no solo queue option. It’s an abusive way to play the game that degrades the quality.
Frankly, you all should be banned for cheating.

Classic didn’t have a matchmaking system. And blizzard fixed it 13 years ago, when they added one in TBC. If you’re not patient matchmaking is available in BFA right now. Like I said maybe classic just isn’t for you.
And how is the effort of putting a group together for pvp any different than putting one together for a dungeon or raid? You want LFD/LFR too. Afterall its very unfair that solo players have a harder time clearing content than guilds do right?

PvP is supposed to be an individual effort, which is why the ladder ranks individuals and not teams. What you guys forget is that you could only have 1 rank 14 player at a time on most Vanilla realms – these super classic realms have entirely de-naturalized the PvP ranking system to begin with.
You’re a raider, looking at the PvP set and saying, “Boy, I really want that, I’m going to get my raider friends and go get it.”
Premades were likely implemented as a social feature, allowing you to play with your friends – which inevitably became mandated by circumstance as premade teams started to dominate the landscape.
Blizzard should have changed this 15 years ago.
Saying “that’s classic for ya,” doesn’t invalidate the claim that premades make the game poorer, and always have.

Becuase you can’t queue as a solo player for a dungeon or raid.
Matchmade PvP battlegrounds are, with few exceptions, not dungeons or raids.

If I want to solo queue and try to be a hero I will.
I just don’t have this delusion where I feel entitled to a pug v pug match or a win.
I get it. You sit in 40 minute queues then lose, that has to be mentally draining. I’m telling you regardless of how much we may disagree with the state of the game or premades or anything that if you rerolled Alliance you would enjoy yourself 10 fold.
Right, you just have the delusion that pugs only exist to be stomped by premades, and for no other purpose.

I pug, I premade. I just don’t expect a pug v pug game.
I’m also telling you that if you swapped to Alliance you would enjoy pvp a lot more. Waiting in queue for 40 minutes is awful.
Then why do BG’s exist? They should have added instances duels instead.
And that’s a decision you’re making by refusing to join groups. You won’t find any sympathy from anyone but the few other antisocial players here who can’t make friends.
You can find pugs in trade chat and what not. There is no queue system for pve untill wrath. A pug is a pug regardless. Organized players are more successful in everything, that’s why you’re garbage.
I’d hardly call this matchmaking tbh. It just slaps ransoms together and calls it a day. That’s why premades are the way to go.
AB/WSG Q’s are only about 10-15 min?
Odd when I was watching a Horde streamer just a few nights ago he had a 40minute AB and WSG queue. Maybe it was late in the evening?
13 minutes as of right now for AB, 15 minutes for WSG. Q’d in for both :).
