I’m guessing it would be in late December or early January. With Blizzard pushing raid nerfs it seems like prep for Phase 3. It would be nice if we had a general time frame. I want to possibly get S1 pieces on an alt but don’t want to have the season come out a month later when I could have saved those points for half off S2 gear.
It will end with huge disappointment and again people complaining the cutoff is too high and arena participation is low.
Then I remember the causal players complained about how the current arena system with gear rating drives people away from the arenas.
With them concentrating on som the last 3 months I would say arena ends Jan 4 or 11th with p3 starting the 11th or 18th.
Will depend on when they open the ptr and implement the nerfs.
It will end with 65% top ranks being rogues only because they got 2 beyond OP spells in BC at the same time for some unknown reason; Shadow step and cloak of shadows.

Whatever it will be, it’s highly unlikely to be longer than original season 2. Even if it’s in late January, early February, it’s still less than 23 weeks like original, on top of having a higher requirement due to team rating starting at 0 instead of 1500.
Unless Blizzard decides to crank up the points earned or reduce the cost of arena gear, season 3 will start with a huge disparity between players. The people at the top of the ladder currently will start with a massive head start, again, leading to one of the lowest level of competitiveness in WoW Arena in its entire history caused by the extreme inaction from Blizzard on these issues that have been delved into for over a decade by private servers.

We’ll probably find out 6 days before it ends and it’ll end 6 hours early randomly on the day with no warning

Early january / late december sounds about right
Phase one lasted 4.5 months.
Just so you all know. We only just hit the 2 month marker for phase 2. Everyone saying the start of January. You’re dumb. That’ 1.5 months away. A whole month faster than phase one.
February is most likely.

Phase 1 lasted 3.5 months, not 4.5. June 1st to September 15th.

Well to help with your estimate I have been getting 1200-1300 arena points per week on my character since the start of s2 and I should only be finally getting 5/5 pieces + 1 wep next week. Still need to get a shield for s2.
If I were to guess I’d say late Jan. No way they would do it during Christmas.
not everyone is 1800+ rated to earn those types of points. many are earning 300-500 a week. though if they wanted to they can save for end of season and buy everythign half off at this point
