End Boosting to Protect WoW

The weird headcannon of gdkp enthusiasts is a sight to see

What’s the harm of not leveling alts if alts just buy boosting since those alts aren’t really participating in the game or interacting with other players? The only benefit of those alts I can see is idling in SW or Org, or farming MC their mains already cleared and had all loots maybe in a couple of months. That sounds really boring to me.

If you want to be reductionist and ignore any and all nuance, sure. People boost because they don’t want to spend dozens of hours doing mindless chores before they’re allowed to play the “fun” part of the game.

I view it the same as paying someone to clean your house or mow your lawn. Some people enjoy the process of doing it themselves, some don’t. But what amounts to in essence “Wow, you paid the neighbor kid to mow your lawn so you could spend your time doing something you enjoy more, what a loser. That’s one of the best parts of home ownership.” has always been an incredibly goofy argument to me.

Skipping a large part of the game to create skewed results. Rushing to be bored after a few months.
Need to get on the hamster wheel asap otherwise then dopamine receptors will shutdown

So you think anything you don’t enjoy in a game is akin to mowing the lawn or cleaning the house? What if I don’t want to grind honor in BGs or farm loots in raids, can Blizzard allow me to delegate those chores to others and allow GDKP or boosting in BGs? People enjoy different aspects of the game, sure, but if you think we can just only play the fun part of the game, and then allow other people to do chores for us, that will eventually lead to an empty world with only bots left, and then flying since people want super speed from one place to another, and eventually the retail version of the game. Why are you even playing the Vanilla version of the game, an MMO where inconvenience and grinding are the core part of the game?

Not a single word of anything you just said had any substance or point

This thread is straw mans all the way down.

You mow your lawn because if you don’t it will be a giant headache later, devalue your curb appeal, get you in trouble with the HOA (I would never have an HOA), and invite ticks and all sorts of baddies to your house. Same with cleaning your house, you do that so you don’t get all the badness with living in filth. Paying someone else to do that is legit if you can’t be bothered and won’t do a good job yourself. At a certain breakpoint of lazyness/incompetence you shouldn’t bother with owning a home at all because it is more than you can actually handle.

This IS NOT the same thing at all as skipping a major part of a game and paying someone else to do all the work for a couple days /played of sitting afk doing what exactly? If you really don’t have time to play the game why are you leveling a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th character? If you really don’t have time to play the game why are you playing Classic WoW at all?

Just like GDKP, gold buying and RMT, boosting to 60 crept into the game, loads of people are doing it now, and that’s just how a certain cadre of people play - and it ruins the game sometimes in non-obvious ways. I won’t convince someone to not do these things, clearly. The only thing Blizzard can realistically do is put in mechanisms that make it not work any longer.

No one in this thread has given any examples of how boosting negatively impacts anything btw.

All these things predate classic by about 15 years btw

Isn’t that like, all of it?

I guess if you don’t get invited to raids yeah, but that would explain a lot and why you swipe to try and get in

Your dumb troll has grown old and stale. Kinda’ like your toe fungus.

Still waiting for a valid argument against boosting. :coffee:

“because you aren’t playing the way I like to play, so you’re wrong”
That’s about I’ll I’ve heard so far.

Yeah. It really is a shame that the vast majority of posts on these forums are exactly that.

deflect all you want, i’ll never let anyone on this forum forget you’re a gold buyer who admitted they only hated gdkp because it raised the cost of gold

i like boosting and gdkps, have never RMTd.

back to the old days where i literally have 0 gold bc all i want to do is pvp. the gold was incentive enough to use some of my time to pve but i’d never give a single f about it now.

when my gold is fully depleted i will fin leveling a mage so i can sell boosts or farm raw gold.

The amount of boosting you see on WoW now is something you’d only see on a F2P game. What exactly are we paying $15 per month for?

Again this werid headcannon thinking you are carrying someone in a dungeon.
I’m sorry bro I am not going to invite you to my dungeon, I don’t need a warrior dps to “carry” me. So seethe and be stuck in LFG for another hour.

It alrighty Timmy, you don’t need to level 7 max level characters this time, it’s okay you don’t need to treat the game like a second job. gdkps are banned.

Sorry little bro I got my dungeon grind done week 2 like everyone else. I don’t level them to 60, I level them to 35 then make 20g a day each with alchemy and 20g every 3 days with tailoring
