What are your thoughts on the addons that cause an enchanter to automatically invite a person in trade chat who types “LF X Enchant”?
I think it’s basically a botting program as it essentially plays the game for the person by sending out a group invite and should be banned.
Why? You post and boom got an enchanter why you complaining?
because the addon automates the actions of the enchanter. its the same as rogues who bot in ramps or players who bot in BGs for easy honor.\
these auto-inv addons are against ToS and should be treated as such by giving out bans for their use.
Um… no it’s not lol. It’s not the same as botting and it’s not a bannable offense.
It sounds like you’re just mad that another enchanter is taking your business. Seriously… get over it…

PS - the auto inviter is only one of the pieces of code that I have written … I also wrote https://wago.io/17ZQgjA3y to aid in my enchanting endeavors and share it openly to assist all enchanters.
If typing invites is part of the intended gameplay then maybe you have a point.
While I don’t particularly have any strong opinions with regards to auto invites for crafting, or even for world boss coalitions or raid groups, one of my favorite things in WoW is forming groups, using the LookingForGroup channel. Automating group finding would be something I’d consider to cross the line of what I personally want from this game.

Very likely a blanket statement as a result of the mass banwave for people afking in AV. Again, i have been using this code for quite a while and still have yet to hear from a GM or had any action taken against my account.

I will admit … that does suck. I never go afk if I have it on, and made sure all the people I gave my code too where respectful.

Yah, I did a breakdown of the ToS and the API in question in one of the first threads … and they got mad and made 3 new threads.

Unfortunately there are many who are afk. They auto invite. And you sit there in trade window for 60s+ waiting for them
If they are afk auto inviting I instantly ignore them so they never inv again.
One msgd me on 3 diff accounts begging for an unblock. Nope. Afk = go away.
Wouldn’t mind a subtle nerf where if you’re afk you are locked from joining /inviting for groups. I think that’s a solid change in the middle
Yah, i would be cool w/ that. Would be mildly annoying when I hit a dry spell and forget to jump … but I think that would be an improvement for the community as a whole.

As I am so obviously correct, I’m not going to bother replying to this thread anymore. I’m going to just continue reporting people who use the add-on like Mastalock and eventually it will no longer be used.
I didn’t get mad and create a new thread in response to your posts on Mastalock’s thread. Coincidence would have it that I was annoyed by this addon and came to the forums to make my post independently of Mastalock. I don’t think it’s that hard to believe that an obnoxious program would annoy more than one person.
Look, Swîftthîstle, I understand why you are becoming so defensive about this. You spent a lot of time to create a program that you thought would help people and make the game more enjoyable but, in reality, you spent your time creating a program that literally annoys thousands of people on a daily basis. Sorry but your project was not a success.
I actually love the program lol. I can get enchants fast as hell—saves me time.
