Employees leaving Blizzard due to RTO

Cost of living is high in California because almost everyone wants to live here. Including Blizzard management. Supply & demand.

To tie these two together:

People don’t realize how often and subtly the American political parties put on a good show of anger and opposition, when in reality everything about our political system is them using that opposition for wins under the table

If you want to flex about living in a cheaper area, more power to you, except in reality the people who live in the more expensive areas have more value than you do.

I don’t know why you see it as a positive for you that I can live at my house in a suburb and do the same thing you do in your two by one shack in the sticks.

Cost of living is high in CA is because the state and local government subsidize almost everything, which drives up your taxes like crazy. Wasn’t it San Fransisco that’s starting to pay out 5 million dollars in reparations?

Wow, that comment was really out of touch.

I’m actually the one with the value. See, I can work for an employer based in a pricey city, but with my in-demand skills, I can live where I want. I live in a 'burb too! But… I make way more than the cost of living requires, so QoL stonks go up!

Not sure what your flex is supposed to be here.

That’s not a source that’s you buthurt because you have no source lmao, also lvl 53 wanting to call out someone’s level lmao

I’m sure you, and every other person ever is.

Anyone else can do that too, without needing WFH.

Again, you’re just mad that you don’t have work at home. You’re either some bottom-level boot trying to claw their way up the corporate ladder, or middle-management. You should try going into IT, get a few recruiters in your inbox each day. Feel what it feels like to be wanted.

And sure, if you live in the burbs of the city you work in. Lol.

Come on Copper. It’s randoms on the forums who pretend to have nice things that you should seek knowledge for on your current standing outside of these forums.

:salt:

Aren’t you precious.

I’ve got time to kill while I sit in the RSS queue and I couldn’t help but hear some boot gargling going on.

I don’t know why this is even such a big deal. The people were working from home in another state. The company decided they wanted people to come into the office in Irvine and the people who don’t want to move to Irvine to work quit. I saw the same thing happen at my place of employment more than once. Job moved and either people moved with it or went elsewhere. It’s all up to what the people want to do no reason to make a big stink about things.

Hey. They gotta do what they gotta do to afford those knee pads

Imagine unironically defending corporations as someone who will have to work until they die.

Imagine three of the saltiest people being unable to comprehend that WFH isn’t a big deal and normal people think you’re entitled little brats.

My last employer did the same thing. Wanted us to come back to the office several days a week. I quit and found another company paying nearly double for what I was doing.

Previous company reversed course and let people work at home, but not before bleeding a lot of talent.

don’t argue for hours on end on the WoW forums because they believe something that has been trounced repeatedly by research.

Stay mad.

Weird I provided my research, where’s yours again? Some non-profit, government funded site with tenured professors and undergrads as experts?

Oh, that’s right, you don’t have any.

They’re just mad that they’re not as valuable as they think they are. All they can cry is ‘boot-licker!’ when they’re confronted by reality.
