I killed all the bosses required to get to Cenarius but I can’t talk to Malfurion. All i get from him is a quest. I ran out and waited a few hours, when i ran back in the dialog finally came up but still nothing. I tried the reset instance thing but nothing. I’m wondering if it is because I needed a friend to help me when I got to Ursoc. I soloed the others.
You will also want to submit a Bug Report either via the forum or the in-game help menu.
I tried that already.
Then that is all you can do. QA doesn’t do dialogs unless they have more questions.
Question: How fast are you killing the bosses? Are you letting them do their scripted events? Generally, if you kill them too fast, the raid bugs out.
I didnt kill them that fast. A couple weeks ago when i was with friends we did, but didnt have this issue then.
A bug report is exactly the correct thing to do - but it isn’t like other tickets. It alerts QA (a good thing), but it isn’t for a resolution. In most cases of this nature, other than fixing a bug if there is one (which isn’t CS - that is the devs and QA) there really isn’t anything we can suggest other than to retry it later. We are in fact prohibited from touching true ‘bugs’, because that could cause other issues down the road. Unless and until a bug is confirmed, and we get specific instructions from our devs, it is actually a bit dangerous to try to go mucking about with mechanics to the future of the character.
Found a work around for this.
This raid seems to ONLY be bugged when on the “Balance of Power” questline, specifically “The Emerald Nightmare: In Nightmares.”
So, before entering the instance, abandon the quest, kill the bosses up until the bug, and you should be able to get to Cenarius. I killed Cenarius, but it may or may not be a necessary step. I didn’t want to risk it.
Port out of the instance, and go back to Kalec in Azsuna. Pick the quest back up and then get back to the instance. When you enter, it should put you right where you left off.
After killing Xavius, get out (you can use the portal behind the druids), set the raid to a different difficulty, and then go back and get the Deathglare Iris.
Appreciate the info, but necros are bad. This thread is well over a year dead.
It’s Nov 2024 and the same issue is happening. I can’t finish the last 2 bosses and since it’s been over 2 years since the last message. I think this bug should have been fixed by now. I should not have to abandon a quest I half-finished so I can finish the last 2 bosses. I’ve done this dungeon/raid without the quest a total of 4 times already. Now I’m just trying to get the extra quests done. (I don’t know where I got the Nightmare: In Nightmares from) So if someone can point me to where to get the in Nightmare quest back from, I can finally get these 3 extra quests done, before my daughter catches up to me in killing the final boss to get the Earthen unlocked.
Inatead of necroing a 4yr old thread realy bad idea better to open a new thread instead.
