Email confirmation from support ticket?

I remember a time when creating support tickets I would then receive an email about that ticket and when ever that ticket was answered I would receive an email.

Is this a setting OR was this a change I am just now noticing ?

I haven’t placed a ticket since July, but I received an email confirmation for each step (ticket placed, ticket answered, ticket resolved).

Be sure that you don’t have Blizzard’s emails blocked and check your spam filter as well.

Yeah I just double checked email filters and blocklist and they (blizzard) are not in there. I do get emails about token purchases and marketing material BUT anything that is related to having a copy of a support ticket and/or just the notification of support tickets weather created or answered … nothing.

What’s going on ?

I just did an item restoration and received both emails without any issue.

I can see the ticket history no problem. The query is about getting notified of said support tickets (created, answered & resolved) which I have not been receiving. Marketing comes through no problem, token purchases and bnet balance increases no problem.

Create a support ticket, get a answer to a support ticket, support ticket gets resolved = no email.

*edit, have not tried an item restore. have not had the need recently.

I know that in the previous account settings menu there was an option to disable emails from support about tickets, though I checked the current account management area and it doesn’t look like it exists any more. I dunno if it can be re-enabled now if it was turned off back then.

I will create a support ticket and link to this forum post and see what support says (although I did create a ticket about this very topic and the ticket was gone/removed/deleted … something because it was no longer there.). I’ll update this post once I receive word.

There was an old option to disable support emails, and it does look like your account had opted into that a few years back. We’ve removed that opt-in from your Blizzard account which should hopefully resolve the issue of you not receiving emails when you create or receive updates to a support ticket.

Click here to review and resolve your ticket. If you continue to experience issues, you can respond to your ticket with additional information.

If you do not resolve the ticket or provide an additional response within one week, we will resolve the ticket automatically and you’ll receive a final update via email.

Thanks! The old account management page had quite a bit more information, but I think I like the new one better. It’s certainly easier to find where everything is with it, props to the website team.

Edit: By “new” I mean within the last three years. Look, it didn’t exist when I started. :smile:
