Elune might be older and more powerful than we ever imagined

It’s the voice, from the Moonwell, after giving an offer to Elune, to save the NE child.

Bruh.

Never is stated anywhere that’s Elune speaking to you. The moonwells are used for more than just Elune worship.

I honestly can’t believe you’re choosing to ignore an actual player interaction with Elune, but are fawning over Khadger speculation.

I’m ducking out.

I’m not fawning over Khadgar. I even said there is no further evidence besides that. You have no proof that’s actual interaction between Elune and the player. An uninitiated person, in most cases no ties to elune, hears this goddess something Tyrande is the only person supposedly that can do this? “I’ve nothing to back it up so I’m gona bail.”

So you believe in some parts of her lore page, but not others?

Tyrande herself says that Elune is much greater than the Naaru by the way, if we’re going with “she literally talks to Elune” She even told off Valen for trying to compare the two.

If we’re going with her whole lore page then its specifically stated she’s older than the ordering, takes no physical appearance, and hates direct conflict.

Elune is my toaster. It is older then the wow ordering. It is made of blazing light that burns all toast to the darkness of the void. It like’s to make trolls into elfs and it occasionally gets drunk and enjoy’s the company of stags. It will also work if you make daily offerings and prayers to it.

Fair enough. I was basing my knowledge on what Blizzard had developed as lore before BfA’s changes to N’Zoth, and the release of their “Chronicles” series of books. This really highlights how difficult it is to keep up with lore facts, given their propensity to retcon the heck out of everything.

Very fair and true. WoW lore is a muddied mess, even with Chronicles. It is incredibly hard to keep up with what’s canon and what’s been retconned.

Wrong!

Titans:
Build Constructs
Build beings of Iron and Stone. Like Robots.
Create Dimensions.
Imprision or killed an Old God has nothing to do with anything, just shows how powerful they are.
Create the Emerald Dream? Nope, the Emerald dreams is the dream of the sleeping titan, Azeroth.

Watchers are created by the Titans.
Watchers:
Not angelic beings, they care built and given a limited power of the Titans.
Build prisons.
Did not create life. The Old Gods cursed them with the curse of flesh.
Create floating Islands? That was built by Titans.
Flaming beards? Okay, if you call that a powerful ability.

Elune:
Unknown.
Can create a Star Constellation of a Dragon. Therefore creating stars.
Can purify the Emerald Nightmare, along with any other impurities.
Purified Elune’s tears.
Created the Naaru, beings of pure light.
Gave Tyrande the ability to heal people that are in the shadow of death.
Mother of Cenarius.
Older then any Titan and the Universe.

Lol so much wrong information that I literally do not know where to begin.

Those are their direct forces yes.

Yes which should point out how powerful they are.

Yes, when comparing power between entities that is kind of the point.

I also love you claim the dream of a sleeping titans is not a titan creation…

No but have you seen the Valkyr they created? Also their “limited power” is god like.

You may want to brush up on your lore. The titans travelled the cosmos seeding worlds with life. They even have a word for it “ordering”. Freya is the titan keeper of life.

The constructs built all the titan artifacts. The titans themselves created the keepers and the constructs. Odyn later made the Halls of Valor into a floating island.

You are again assuming those are actual stars and not just a local object.

Where did she purify the nightmare?

I am not sure how that is a god like feet since it was corrupted by Xavius.

Unfounded conjecture by one NPC disputed by another. It is like people don’t even read.

Just like…a priest?

Kind of confused as how this is relevant to a talk about her powers.

Source?

" The titans empowered a number of races to help them fashion the world. To help them carve out the fathomless caverns beneath the earth, the titans created the dwarf-like earthen from magical, living stone. To help guard and protect the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, the titans created the stone mogu to guard and protect the Vale and the surrounding region.[11] To help them dredge out the seas and lift the land from the sea floor, the titans created the immense but gentle sea giants. For many ages the titans moved and shaped the earth, until at last there remained one perfect continent. At the continent’s center, the titans crafted a lake of scintillating energies. The lake, which they named the Well of Eternity, was to be the fount of life for the world. Its potent energies would nurture the bones of the world and empower life to take root in the land’s rich soil. Over time, plants, trees, monsters, and creatures of every kind began to thrive on the primordial continent. As twilight fell on the final day of their labors, the titans named the continent Kalimdor: “land of eternal starlight”.[9]

Satisfied that the small world had been ordered and that their work was done, the titans prepared to leave Azeroth. However, before they departed, they charged the greatest species of the world, the dragonflights, with the task of watching over Kalimdor, lest any force should threaten its perfect tranquility. There were many dragonflights in that age, yet there were five flights that held dominion over their brethren. It was these five flights that the titans chose to shepherd the budding world. The greatest members of the Pantheon imbued a portion of their power upon each of the flights’ leaders. These majestic dragons became known as the Great Aspects, or the Dragon Aspects. Thus empowered, the Five Aspects were charged with the world’s defense in the titans’ absence. With the dragons prepared to safeguard their creation, the titans left Azeroth behind.[12] In the Pantheon’s absence, the various titan-forged continued to shape and order the surface of the world."

You can then find Freya one of the titan keepers.

" Freya also created Un’Goro Crater, Sholazar Basin, and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.[2] She also planted a great tree in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms known as Fu Zan, from which all of Pandaria’s forests would one day descend. Freya fashioned a walking stick from the branches of Fu Zan, which she used on her travels.[4] Freya created new life within her enclaves, and in time the Wild Gods emerged. Seeing the Wild Gods as her children, Freya linked them to the Emerald Dream and wandered primordial Kalimdor with them at her side. The area they spent the most time at was Mount Hyjal.[2]"

So just to follow up Malorne the father of Cenarius was created by a Titan keeper (not even a titan themselves).

Malorne was not created by Titans or Titan keepers. He was one of the first living being on Azeroth. They did not create him. It was indirect spark of life that he was birthed. Nature itself created him. Malorne is a Wild God.

Legion: Light’s Heart. Naaru were sparks of light when the Light and Void went toe to toe. That created the universe.

Elune’s Tears: Used to unlock Light’s Heart.

Khadgar’s research through some ancient cosmology tomes indicate that the prime Naaru may have been created by Elune during the great ordering of Light and Shadow.

Making Elune older then your titans.

I don’t know, her blessings are pretty garbage considering Darkshore.

I bet not that.

When Tyrande called upon “her darkest phase”, to become the Night Warrior, there were clear hints there that she was harnessing Void power from Elune.

Naaru have Light and Dark phases, and it appears that might be something they inherited from Elune as their creator.

Elune is probably something separate from the Naaru and the Void Lords that spans between the two polarities.

All of this is based on Khadgar’s baseless claim that you are taking as gospel. You are going to need more then that.

Yet, It’s not “baseless”. It is in fact, ‘based’ on a passage Khadgar found in a “ancient cosmology tome”, for what that’s worth…and that’s the real question, isn’t it?

Who authored the tome(s) Khadgar refers to? Is Velen’s suggestion that Elune and the Naaru are related in some way accurate? Or is Tyrande’s insistence that neither of them know what they are talking about correct? Her opinions are quite obviously biased, of course.

In terms of Elune’s age, and her standing in the hierarchy of power, every piece of ‘evidence’ we have access to conflicts with the next one. It’s almost pointless to take a stand one way or another, or to find fault with anyone else’s interpretations. The only reasonable conclusion is this:

We just don’t know.

Except who was there to witness this event to write these tomes that Khadgar had? People on Azeroth didn’t even know about the Naaru until BC let alone the Prime Naaru. As far as Tyrande being biased, she is also the undoubted expert on Elune.

Elune is probably one cosmic force - maybe associated with the Light realm - that is in the same power level of the Void Lords.

That is my guess.

So, in fact the Human Paladins that shivers to the thought of a possible NE paladin class based on Elune are in fact directly worshipping her! Ohohoh!

Regarding this. It takes light 9 minutes to travel from our sun to the Earth. It takes over 4 years for light to reach Earth from our closest neighbor. She did not create stars, she created near Azeroth objects that appear to be similar to the displayed constellations in the titan buildings (which were made by the keepers).

Also how would the Titans not have noticed Elune while they were ordering the world and fighting the old gods?

Also let’s not forget druids are heavily aligned with both Elune and The emerald dream. The emerald dream was either created by the titan keeper Fraya or is the dream of the titan Azeroth. Either way the wild gods gained their connection to it from The keeper Fraya and then later the druids learned it from Cenarius (the patron wild god of druids and supposed son of Elune ). Also Cenarius’ father is Malorne a wild god that would have been created from Fraya’s creation of life and linked to the emerald dream by her.

I know this is all associative, but it sure seems the Elune has more in common with the keepers then some super god creator of all.
