Non of the others knew what was going on, other than bwon, and his boss was working for the jailer
So common in fact, it took a Maw Walker to tell the leaders of the convenants where the souls were going while everyone stood around with a Suprise Pikachu Face that their own death realm was broken.

So in the end did the Night Warrior storyline actually amount to anything? If this Tyrande plotthread from Darkshore to now was just completely cut, would the overall story change in any way whatsoever?

Tyrande invoked the devastating powers of a life goddess to kill some guy then Elune decided after that, Tyrande needed to make a choice after Sylvanas was pretty much already defeated and confused to where she was.
Say what you want, as bad as GoT S6-8 were, this is far worse.

I feel like Bwomsamdi has had a fairly minor, supporting role in this story so no one remembers he is far and away the most competent deity in Ardenweald.
Dudes been hauling, trying desperately to save his own from the Maw even though he was actively endangering himself doing so.
Meanwhile Elune just now realized the city full of followers she let get engulfed have all been cast into perdition to be tortured into tools. I get Malfurion likes his naps but I didn’t think Elune would be asleep at the wheel too.

Though several Loa were basically unable to really stop the Alliance from wreaking havoc and killing the King of Trolls, so they are not alone in regard to disappointing gods. And it seems to be the case that the entire Tauren religion is a lie.
I agree with the frustrations, but I think people need to accept the real problem was really just being heavily victimized for a B plot at best with weird nonsense that doesn’t really make things better. Elune not stopping things just like she didn’t stop the Legion is logically consistent, but its the fact that it was such a miserable demonstration is the problem.

It’s also not that nonsensical since it’s a basic fantasy trope. The cycle of life and death. Heck I wouldn’t even call this “new cosmology” stuff.
Bwomsamdi give it the ole college try at least. Plus I got the sense he kinda wanted Rastakhan dead. I mean obviously he did but that was for a future villain batting the character was spared thanks to Alex Desert’s raw charisma. But Rastakhan had become such a complacent and oblivious king Zuldazar very nearly fell to Old God cultists on his watch. So I can see why Bwom felt it was time for new leadership.
As for Elune apparently knowing she can intervene, but won’t, just makes her baffling. It would’ve been very easy to say the Jailor had clouded her vision or whatever and she’s been unaware.
Also wait a second - what’s the nature of this arrangement again? The Kaldorei were functionally immortal until less than a decade ago. So Nelf souls have to had been a bit of a rarity until recently.

I was referring to all those Wild Gods that are heavily present around/near the city. They only were able to be speed bumps at best.
Seems like Nobbel came to the same conclusion we did.

If only the Archon, Primus, Winter Queen and Denathruis had some sort of projection they could cast into Orbios to SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITHIN ORBIOS!!!
If only these Pantheon had that capability, then MAYBE just MAYBE they would have been aware!!!

Who wouldn’t be at this point? Seriously I do think BFA was worse design wise. That damn reward crate felt like something out of a phone MOBA and nobody’s ever explained to me why there was a damn commute between the PvE and PvP one in Dazar’Alor. Thank God they at least made it a scenic one.
But at least aside from the war story there were fun things. Krag’Wa was just whimsical, proper Witches I wanted to hunt in a cockel hat, pirates, dinosaurs, a pint sized Borg - it had its moments.
Here though were stuck with the Maw for the foreseeable future. And the story does not make any god damn sense. By design as they have another product to sell you months from now. Meaning statistically at least a few people will die being baffled about Sylvanas.
They really desperately need a realm reborn type thing now. We even have the Jailor trying to unmake reality as a ready made excuse to do something like that. I just don’t see how you salvage this.
