Hi all,
Does anyone know how elixir of demon slaying will work with the flask of relentless assault? Will you be able to apply both or will the 5 min demon slaying buff completely overwrite your flask?
Thanks

Elixir of Demon Slaying counts as a Battle Elixir, so no Flask with it.
I don’t believe they stack as the EoD is considered a battle elixir so you’ll have to repop the flask after using EoD. Haste Potions do stack though.
This isn’t as big of a deal as you might think though because tbc flasks will be much cheaper than classic flasks as the lotus can’t be spawn camped.
And before you say that you don’t need EoD… you might be right, but you won’t be parsing well w/o it because we all know the try hards will be popping these on every applicable fight.
… Or warcraft logs can simply ban EoD for example.
Why would they do that?
It’s no different than using a sapper on Nef adds vs using one on thaddius. It’s “part” of beating the fight.
Flask during progression, elixirs during farm.
That’s my plan anyway.
Fixed it for ya.
WCL is handy, but I would rather be without it than have it and the toxicity it brings into so many groups.
Legit the zugzug’s that Flex re-count are less annoying than the pars-a-holics because the guy trying to parse is often guilty of a wipe.
Well, you can use whatever you want, but if enough people manifest their interest on having EoD banned on Warcraftlogs, they could do so.
Why is Elixir of demon slaying bad? Like seriously? When you think about it, it’s just another consume that takes the place of a different consume.
And if you are going to point out that it makes parse harder to compare, well then that’s not really anything to worry about because comparing parses between even the same class in your own guild is idiotic unless they are in the exact same group with the same set of aura and buffs.
Point is, flexing the Epeen meter is just stupid because it almost never actually compares you to the other guy at all in a true comparable and honest way; because without the exact same buffs and auras on the exact same raid team… it’s 100% meaningless excluding trying to work out where you the player can improve a little here and there on your rotation and time on target if melee.
Just like petri flask was in classic zzz.
Great feedback all. Thanks! I’ve been debating on stocking up or not. Was unsure if it would be worth using in place of flask based on cost, etc.
I would think you would want to use EoD over the melee flask for raids with mostly demons, because it’s 265 attack power against demons vs. 120 attack power for the flask.
Couple of things you need to think about before you go ape stocking up.
Yeah I don’t mind holding on to them for BT and SWP. Probably not going to go too overboard, maybe just a few hundred worth of mats.
Why the hell would they do that? It’s a readily available consumable.
Difference being that Elixir of Demonslaying costs two mid level herbs that people have thousands of, and Flasks of Petrification costs Black Lotuses.
looks at second account full of bank alts
“overboard”
sweats
And the cost of the Flask you will have to pop once again for non-demon bosses?
Fel Lotus is far more common than Black Lotus, by design.
Also, not everyone uses Flasks. And I don’t just mean “they can’t afford it,” I mean some classes benefit more from the elixir combos. Incidentally, Hunter is one of those classes.
And theres also the marks of the illidari for bonus freebies.
Lmao I am running out of bank alt space on my main account. My summoner accounts might start to load up on them.
