Yeah… again people like to justify why actions like this is acceptable its not I suggest anyone to try out ffxiv their community period is much nicer/kinder.
Simple piece of advice… Make a forum posting character and use that exclusively. Don’t put it in a guild unless it is your own storage guild. It alleviates a lot of those issues.

This is pretty sad. Actually promoting posting on an alt to hide behind is super sad.
I’m gonna wager you said something that could make the guild look bad publicly on the forums. I guarantee the guild already knew you were super casual if you’ve done literally no relevant content with them since you’ve joined, it’s not like they just discovered it because of the forums. Had to have been something you said.

Guess it depends on what one does. There are plenty of folks who already do this, so one more or less isn’t going to make a difference.

I post on my hunter just because it has -some- achievements/progress on it for show, despite not being my main.
Posting on a level 5 alt you never play is kinda cowardly, though.

You can leave the discord, you can fire back, or you can ignore/mute them.
There’s so many ways to counter things like this, you just have to take action instead of just letting it happen. Words by themselves only have as much power as you give them.

Having an opinion is not the same as giving someone advice. I’m not sure where you get this delusion from.
“I dislike that Mythic+ is timed and won’t run it. I hate it.” That is an opinion. That’s not advice.

First off this whole situation sounds like they were being nosy. It was their choice to be private theirs nothing wrong with that. Unless op has maybe talked about the guild on the forum in a demeaning way. Again you stay on your side I will stay on mine. Plus I would think if that was really the case they would’ve been suspended or banned just like this one op mentioned about being suspended for a post about cookies. -.-
