Why do you think they got it more right? instead of overestimating hp/dmg values? You remember stuff being hard… cause people friggin sucked 14 years ago.
How about we just agree that wathever we have is too easy, and we should slap a 25% hp/dmg buff to every instances?
everything has changed a lot, now people are more and more experienced, and also Rag was buggy at the beginning… This is a different launch for WoW, I’m so exited to see this again.
Somehow hes translating literal incorrect values on private servers as being “accurate” it defies the dictionary as he tries to straight up redefine accuracy, but whatever. This is the WoW forums. There’s all kinds of crazy here lol.
Buffing mobs to higher damage values than they EVER had on live != accurate.
5SR changed in 1.4 IIRC, prior to that time casting counted against it rather than just the completion of the cast. Also: healers and DPS alike were likely bad as well. Even worse was the healer who did some DPS on the side, with their mana. But just the 5SR change on its own would add up to significant difference over time on a healer’s staying power even in Deadmines. As that 3 second heal now means 8 seconds of no mana regen, rather than 5 seconds after patch 1.4.
Whatever we have now is too easy. Sounds good to me. lol.
Look, dungeons were never hard - except mebbe eoriginal scholo/strath. That was like an instance wide enrage timer except it was a respawn lol. All I’m saying is that, even though it may be accurate 1.12, what we see now in the dungeons in the beta, isn’t cool. Is it because they out leveled the instance? How did they fare in Gnomer if they did it?
Because if they plowed through gnomer which is a 30+ elite instance (I think) like they did SFK. I dunno what else to think.
The lot of you were just little kids 15 years ago. But some of us weren’t. So you can speak for your self and pugs when it comes to “people sucked”. Luckily, I was doing mostly guild runs, but we still weren’t chain pulling like these guys. Not even close.
I lol’d. I wouldn’t be suprised if MC and BWL and even AQ40 were much, much easier also - more so than private servers. LF 39 more Naxx 40, will espect gear on IF bridge.
There’s a video on youtube of a warrior tanking 10 man Scholo with no keybinds, keyboard turning and clicking his 1-5 abilities, and they’re melting the bosses… it wasn’t hard.
It’s within the context of the authentic overall experience of Vanilla as a whole, my friend. Not the actual numbers nor as of a specific patch. It’s about what “feels” right. And yes, I know it’s complete subjective. But I’m not the only one who feels that something was off. So, at least I know I’m not crazy. Well, at least not too much.
Scholo went through many, many nerfs early on - some of them announced, some not. But I’m not saying it’s super hard either. And honestly speaking, you can play your class just fine and get things done in dungeons if you’re still clicking. It doesn’t make you “bad”.
Edit: Vanilla wasn’t rocket science. It isn’t exactly a hard game to figure out.
Keybinds wasn’t a necessity like it is in a RTS which requires 100+ APM.
this. Don’t forget UBRS as well. All those instances used to be ran as 10 man “raids” because of the difficulty. THen they got nerfed and they became doable with 5 men.
