Elf fans. Do you still want High Elves?

For the longest time i didn’t, but i have relatively recently changed my mind after reading some suggestion/idea over on the EU forums.

If i recall correctly, the suggestion was to merge Belves, Helves, Velves, and Nightfallen into a single neutral race called Thalassian Elves.
And while the race was neutral, each faction had some exclusive customizations. Namely Nightfallen stuff for the Horde and Void Elf for the Alliance. Whether or not you played a Blood Elf or High Elf would depend on the faction as well.

 get ya  here got a live one with these fake high elf floozys wanting to be something they aren’t but hey not everyone can look as good as the real Void Elves, Blood Elves, Nightbourne and Night Elves.

Not at all.

There are no playable High Elves in WoW. See Character Creation.

Paladin was never intrinsic to the High Elf Fantasy. That was always a human thing.

Please read every word on the character selection, and race selection pages, because it states, The High , now Blood elves. . .

There you go, NPC to disable the effect, add an additional Heritage Armor from Veressa’s Silver Covenant. and You’re all set.

The magic race who lives in Dalaran and have yet to breed a mage competent enough to be on the council. :frowning:

If Blizz adds High Elves, then alright. That way they might stop mixing us with them. :eyes:

better than sober elves

I would be fine being wrong. Blizz really dropped the ball on this.

That does leave some room for hope. I just think Blizz wants to pretend everyone is happy after all the drama and bickering that happened

Same here. Silver Covenant was the first thing that came to mind when they announced allied races, followed by Mag’har orcs (expected OL ones for them too which didn’t happen either).

No more elves!!! Blizzard just make Void Elves a toggle race so a person could pick being Void or High. If they choose void no pally option, if they choose high no warlock option. Racial home is some random spot in Crystalsong Forrest.

Except they aren’t in the context that you’re comparing the Windrunner sisters. Those three are literally family- born of the same parents. Stormwind and Kul’Tiran humans are from very different geographical locations and have been in each for many generations. It’s like comparing people from Australia and England as opposed to siblings.

The Stormwind humans and Worgen in human form are actually basically visually identical, they just turn into something else through magic, so that kinda throws your point out the window there.

And Forsaken are literally rotting corpses of humans, so of course they are going to look very different.

Tldr: your argument is nonsensical

Should be able to find these in large quantities in iron forge and stormwind

We’ve had playable high elves since TBC launched and both factions have had them since BfA. Congratulations you already got your wish. :+1:

We have enough worthless elves…

Personally I do, but only because of how they bungled things up so far.

Like, void elves didn’t need to be a thing but Blizz could not give the Alliance pale skinned, blue eyed elves until their sub numbers dropped so low that they had to relent and give give the purplelves mk2 the option.

Now we effectively do just have high elves, but with a bunch of unnecessary hoops attached.

The specific request of High Elves on the Alliance seems more about being able to fulfill your Tolkien-esque fantasy of playing a blonde-haired, blue eyed, pale skinned, elven friend to the humans.

Void Elves, while technically being High Elves by virtue of being former Blood Elves, don’t really fulfill that fantasy.

Void Elves are sinister, corrupted elves tampering in forces they don’t fully comprehend.

Except you don’t HAVE to play that. make a void elf, make them look like a high elf and just say you’re a high elf. you have to be REALLY pedantic to not accept that. They literally gave you the cosmetics to play a high elf, just like I could be a dark ranger by using the darkranger skin tone and armour set. My race would still say bloodelf and and don’t get the undead racials but for all intensive purposes I’m playing a dark ranger.

Yea they are called Void Elves. If they had a Capital City that isn’t a Rock in the middle of nowhere and actually be a beautiful land like Suramar and Quel’thalas. Then they would be a official race like Turtle WoW did.

Well here’s the thing, High elves, that is the Silver Covenant people want to play are exiles from the Blood elves. So them not having a Capital City and instead bunking up with humans in Stormwind is completely within their story.

What the heck is turtle wow? are you talkign about bfa ? “a turtle has made it to the water:” ?
