Im also locked on this toon, i xfered it off Living Flame on SOD and took free xfer to Crusader Strike and now i cant swap toons, this toon isnt even named Peepostab anymore and hes 60
I also literally have a different stance on catch up items, idc if they exist.

Why? When the Firelands trash drops BoE weapons that will be available on the AH? You’re already receiving assistance; why seek additional gear that you haven’t earned?
Because not everyone buys gold and would rather have a pure effort based catch up system that can avoid the use of hundreds of thosands of gold and or rng to get gear that would be reasonable to START progressing firelands.
They are not asking for firelands equivalent gear, just something close that they can farm for without having to spend a stupid amount of gold or rng reliance on.

Normal gear is sufficient to begin progressing through the normal Firelands.
Back in the day, people would actually progress through the normal Firelands in Tier 11 gear—imagine that!
That they acquired from participating in T11 raids is a wild concept, isn’t it?
Heroic Tier 11 is not necessary for Normal Firelands progression. If you lack Heroic Tier 11, venturing into Heroic Firelands may not be advisable. Therefore, the necessity for this loot is irrelevant.
requiring people to do heroic t11 when heroic firelands is doable without heroic t11 gear(maybe not all bosses) makes no sense at all
your logic is just timegating the playerbase because you feel entitled to the gear you have
just because you couldnt do heroic without heroic gear doesn’t mean everyone else cant

The basic logic is that if a team can’t clear T11 on heroic difficulty, it’s unreasonable to expect they can tackle T12 heroic progression in the Firelands. It lacks common sense.

how would a team stuck on the last boss of T11 heroic not be able to do majority of T12 on heroic?
I’m referring to the individuals who, like yourself, cannot complete the normal mode but still receive heroic raid loot as welfare, without engaging in the content, only to participate in the normal Firelands.
and you only feel this way because you’re entitled to your gear and don’t want people who havent cleared T11 heroic to be progging on the same bosses as you within a fraction of the time, got it!

It’s basic common sense that heroic raid loot isn’t necessary to clear normal raids. Back in the day, we didn’t enter the next tier with 95% full BiS gear. We just want the experience to be as close to the original as possible.
