Full P5 BiS Ele is simming 3,460 DPS.
This is so bad that even if you gave them FULL P5 BIS in the CURRENT PHASE they would still be the SECOND LOWEST DPS in the game?!
All the meta DPS are doing well over 5k dps. Even the meme dps specs are doing over 4k.
Surely this will get fixed before the patch comes out, right?
Blizzard doesn’t balance around sims they balance around logs.
Okay, well it also just as bad on the logs. Actually its likely even worse as the sims perform the rotation better than players ever can.
Also that isn’t even remotely true, as in the past whenever certain playstyles start to sim better than the intended ones they change it. See: dual wield ele, melee ele, etc
Hah I had a chuckle on this based retort. The real problem is that ele has a scaling problem , and they have mechanics that are insane for PvP but kind of whatever in raid fights. Power surge proc, cool I guess but from a dps perspective not earth shattering, your big capstone? Just one crit every 3 minutes. Lava burst has bad scaling with buffs and gear since it’s just always an auto crit and I believe it still has the 2 second spell coefficient.
The reality is , the devs have backed themselves into a corner with the introduction of things like overload, lava burst, and power surge. Turning the knobs to make the class stronger can only make them incredibly meme tier strong for PvP.
Ele is a notoriously difficult to balance for pve even in many iterations of retail. I mean he’ll look at the pre patch where they made a bunch of changes to make the class better and ele dominated all aspects of the game, then they gutted the spec to one playable build. A tale as old as time for eles.

what nobody spamming “ele sham op more than anything !!!one1!” realizes is the amount of fire res on current gear nerfs alot of the ele shams damage by quite a bit.
but go on with this cause its funny to see what people think in terms of pve and there have been many many ret is so bad posts while they are doing quite well in pvp now and nobody batted an eye at it.
Yeah that was a huge bummer and forced me to pick up the death bringers again. Nothing worse than full on seeing resist all day.
The “PvP” argument is completely negated by the fact that they keep buffing Boomkin to be better in PvE when its already extremely overpowered in PvP. The truth is they put zero effort into PvP, and such a comically small amount of people actually PvP that it doesn’t really matter.
There are more people playing Ele in PvE (a completely dead spec) than the entire PvP population on SoD multiplied by five.
I mean blizzard has even said to upload logs for PTR stuff…

They are already redoing the Enh T2 set bonus because it was worse ON THE SIMS than the T1 set bonus.
I wouldn’t trust any sims yet.

Bro it’s negated by the fact that pvp is absolutely dead. It’s AB weekend long after people are exalted and rushing AV and there was 1 game going. Who cares what the 15 pvpers have to left to say. And I’m saying that with 35k hks on this TOON. Nobody wants to pvp, you go to AV and horde piss and moan if you stop to fight. And try to report you out of the bg.
Wow, that is actually great news! Ele does 40% less DPS than other specs but they get an additional 7% movement speed!
I was gonna say it was smothered with a pillow over the face by the dev team, but it was more like a series of repeated blunt force trauma
