Hmm in my time playing WoW I literally played everything maybe besides BM hunter and Fury Warrior.

I’d say depends if you have any partners to play regularly with or not and depends on what do they play. I play currently with R Druid and Affli so if Ele rework is meh I’m going to switch to SP because he fits other two well. Based on enjoyment level - I like Outlaw Rogue in PvP - the issue is it’s purely arena specs because other two Rogue specs are way better in BGs. Survival is an amazing spec too - a lot of outplay potential and overall unique (it’s not meele as many people think). Devoker is cool as it has unique mechanics to any spec and has quite simple rotation compared to others. If you ask me I’d recommend SP the most probably and if you want to have a challenge go Mage but then reroll completely and focus on all 3 specs. Investing time into Mage is alwasy worth it because no matter what there is at least 1 Mage spec that is good. Most of their mechanics are similar so your learning is always useful. However as I said, Mage and Rogue are the hardest classes to play in WoW so you rather have to main it and invest into it to be really good at it.

So you wanna play shamam in pvp? Well heres some advice re roll a mage or warlock if you wanna cast spells and actually make a difference in the game. Who ever does the class tuning and work for ele shaman is the worst class designer at blizzard hands down. Getting a rework mid season after i just got my 9 epics is a slap in the face. Shaman sucks hopefully this next rework we aren’t the worst caster in the whole xpac. Sucks cuz rhey baited us to play ele in pre patch then gutted us. To busy making more cry baby anduin cinimatics.

Thats the highest you will see a lava burst crit tho mean while im hitting 2.2 mil on my mage with a instant cast ice lance trust me ele shaman csnt hurt u

I was responding to someone who was talking about ptr changes. And yes, I agree we are undertuned on live as well.

Thanks dude. I started messing around with my lvl 70 frost mage. Starting in broad strokes as spell dps, before getting into spastic pvp content.

But just off the bat with spell setups and procs, high damage seems much easier to pull off with frost mage than elemental shaman.

Take this for example Ice Bolt, Ice Lance, and Flurry vs. Flame Shock, Lightning Bolt, Frost Shock, and Lava Burst.

It seems that for frost mage, I am getting a way better proc mechanic and instant casts with 3 moves, which require 5 moves for Elemental Shaman.

The two things that I miss so far about Elemental Shaman vs. Mage are:

  1. Ghost Wolf, which I think is our best class move compared to other spell dps; and
  2. I really miss the battle mage asthetic and lightning aesthetics.

Thankfully because of level boosts and the warband system, there’s really not much difficulty in playing multiple characters simultaneously.

I’ll see how mage is for the week.

When it comes to melee classes, I use to main rogue before Daemon Hunter was available. It seems like more of what I want in terms of great mobility.

In that regard, I thought about going Evoker instead of Mage, but the faces and posture of the humanoid male evoker models look extremely bad. Like Cringey bad, and you only see their shoulders and belts in their Dracthyr form, which is a huge let down because the aesthetics of loot are such a huge part of WoW.

Not being able to see Epic+ gear in most of your slots, is just dumb.

I don’t know why they short changed Dracthyr on loot cosmetics. There’s really no excuse.

I don’t know about all that, murlok shows literally nobody from 1801-2121 in 2’s running volcanic surge, one player from 2136-2621 in 3’s, and three from 2131-2955 in Blitz.

Volcanic Surge is dead with the incoming patch, no? It was great in BGs, particularly when you’re desperate to eek out as much damage as possible.

It kinda did. I predicted it all the way. Nerfing sustain by 100-150 k and giving us one shot has to end this way.

Yeah you’re right. Ele melting everything with endless LvB was a bug.
