Everything in WoW is arbitrary. It’s a game. Barriers are there to prevent just logging in and gear showing up in your mailbox. (Or in this case covenants being as impermanent as talents.)

Joining a Covenant is about being a part of a new, specific society with a unique position, duties, values, ect in the greater Shadowlands cosmology and the whole concept is built upon it being a singular choice, just like race and class, that will inform your character’s identity the entire time they are in the Shadowlands.

They can do whatever they want, but don’t pretend like there’s some gigantic cleft where classes can’t be flexible.

You keep using the word “handle”. Our criticism isn’t that we can’t “handle” WQs, it’s that a simple talent change shouldn’t be timegated. The Vulpera above gave a perfect example. If she’s on a DPS spec and her guild requires her to heal, she has to go through 2 days of WQs just to switch a simple talent. I don’t expect you to understand, but don’t act like you do either.
