The ego of this game company is killing the game.
If for once they come clean and honor all they’ve done I would think differently.
But that will never happen and what is left will slowly rot in agony to death.

They trying to kill attendance, they have to be. No sane people are doing what they are doing. Either that or if this was in agreement on a settlement, the settelers are doing stuff to drive people from the game. Either way its being purpously annoying.

I think it’s lack of communication. It’s time to listen to the players. Vet the good ones. Give them purple trust 4 status or something.
Have the trusted feed them ideas. We’ll alpha/beta/gamma test anything you want. Put out polls. Some kind of barometer. It’s fine you want to hide subs, but we should be able to cast votes on stuff like:
Worgen tails? Yay or nay

we give them feedback, all of 9.1.5 is feedback from beta.
On twitter they bassically say they know better than us ect ect, their words their and their actions should be a big hint =p
Also all the systems, like tohrghast for example, they ignore the feedback from that and are like LOOK HOW POPULAR IT IS. Well get a legendary w/o it?

I would say 9.1.5 is the apology patch. They’re changing and fixing a lot of things. Even doing total reversals on things they previously said they wouldn’t do.
There was even a long blue post somewhere explaining their failure to listen to feedback and responding.
So I think they’re off to a good comeback right now and they’ve shown some humility and willingness to change. This is not a bad patch, many good things are happening. We’ll see how the train continues in 9.2.
I still don’t follow. What “in game honesty?” And they follow the orders of the legal team, not what you think they should say “legally.”
I would say fear of losing what is left.
Give them what should be in the game since the beginning.
But never honor their mistakes.
It’s really late and just a matter of time but will happen.
The game is rotting.

While I think it plays a part of the decline of wow, OP, I think the biggest issue plaguing wow today is the dreadful pacing of content releases.

Dude, like I get where all of you are coming from. From your perspective, all these people are playing other games, etc, do the game is failing. But idk if it is because we come from different worlds or what, but you guys are clueless.
It’s the most profitable mmo on the market, and perhaps most profitable, period. The forums are not an accurate assessment of a business. The opinion of one section of the player base, or even several, means nothing. It’s a business. Only the bottom line matters.
When I used to be a sales supervisor, I was responsible for quite a large budget. We had various metrics. All of those metrics were areas of opportunity to meet and exceed that bottom line. The only time those metrics came into play was when we missed that bottom line. Wow is not missing the bottom line.
That’s why they aren’t nearly as urgent as everyone expects. The wow token completely changed the way this game is valued. The mass Exodus means little because the people who left weren’t drinking the Kool aid, so to speak.
Player entitlement and engine age is killing the game
