Echoes and farming

No, but the reason it sucks so bad on an alt is because it really wasn’t that great on a main either.

Until Blizzard notices you losing ALOT of high end matches without trying and bans you for win trading

But that’s not win trading…
Win trading is when you and another team times your queues in a way that lets you face each other, and one team agrees to lose on purpose to feed rating to the other team. After one team obtains a certain amount of points and reaches a goal, they do the same thing and lose on purpose for the other team.

Just tanking CR is very normal and there are many groups in LFG that are doing it for echo farming. Blizzard knows this and obviously will not ban for it.

Let’s not forget the classes that have to use 2 different stats based on what they are playing. PvP, arms wants all verse, in PvE they want haste. Then you add, the top end warriors sometimes want a mastery build for M+.

That is a lot longer than 30 days to catch up ^_~

Good thing there is an even easier way to buy vessels right? I mean if you do the 3 invasions and a couple of lesser visions each week you will have enough for 3 vessels. There, you just saved yourself 1,750 echos per vessel.

I know what win trading is, i also know what his actions appear to be, by the dispassionate ban hammer in the sky.

Blizzard would have to ban the entire ladder if they were that incompetent

They did action people back in MoP for tanking their 2s rating to sell conquest caps, calling it wintrading in the email you’d get.

But I think echo farming is much more prevalent and they definitely aren’t going to ban or disqualify that many people over something that is entirely their fault to begin with.

Oh, my bad @Leafblight, I forgot about Blizzard’s track record for a moment

I think we’re lucky to be able to buy any of those things with echoes. Do you just want everything handed to you?

I want corruption effects to be disabled in rated PvP. That’s what I want

Yeah dude, you got handouts?

You can’t convince people who it downs effect. For anyone who was to play their alts in any form of progressive content it’s horrible, you have to wait a month or two before you should even step into mythic. You can’t really. Push keys either without decent corruption.

I just do assaults and never play my alts until I have saved up a ton of echoes because they are incredibly weak otherwise. I thought corruption vendor would save alts but actually it just hurts them because everyone else’s mains continue to get better and further ahead .

you should, making alts accessible keeps the game fresh and more fun in the long run
wow is anything but fresh for alts, there’s too much you have to do before you can play competitive or even casual

They should make them account wide. You get one rank 3 there is no need to purchase on another toon.

I was going to make a new thread with pretty much exactly this, but you said it perfectly.

Corruptions could ACTUALLY be pretty cool as a way for unique builds and customisation if everyone just automatically had like say 100 corruption resistence as soon as they got the cloak, then could pick and choose as they like if it was say, 500 or even 250 echoes per corruption.

People would still grind to try new builds/combos, and would then switch to alts anyway so I doubt Blizzard’s beloved playtime metric would suffer too much.

But this current system is still just too much of an unrewarding and slow timesink.

You are looking at this entirely the wrong way. This means that you can buy almost anything character power progression related with echoes. How can you get echoes? By doing virtually any activity in the game.

This is what people wanted. Play the game, in virtually any way. Get a single currency that you can spend on virtually any piece of character power. Some people don’t know how to enjoy victory.

The Developers hate alts.

My guess is they’re working on SL, and want to keep us busy for the next 8 months or more.

Yeah? Let’s see the breakdown for that number.

I mean, this is a prime example of the issue with using one currency for multiple different and useful things.

People complained about BFA adding “too many different currencies” over it’s life cycle but ensuring each type of currency was used for different rewards it avoided the problem currently at hand.

Where you are getting this Single currency pulled in 4 different directions at once.
