I’m honestly fine with different levels of corruption requiring different amounts of echoes, but it could use some work. A +16 corruption item shouldn’t cost the same as a +35.
It’s the end of the expansion, loosen the reigns some. Lower the prices on everything, up the exp and rep gains and let players go mess around until prepatch launches.
Here’s all the ways you can farm them everyone:
Black Empire Assaults 625
Aqir/Amathet/Mantid/Mogu Assaults 375
Horrific Visions 250 + 125 per side area (750 for a full clear)
World Quest Emissaries 250 (1750 a week+)
Heroic Darkshore Warfront 375
Ny’alotha Raid 75 (normal) to 125 (mythic) per first weekly boss kill
Ny’alotha Looking for Raid 125 per wing
Random Battleground wins 75-125
Rated Arena wins 50-125+ depending on bracket and PvP rank
Rated Battleground wins 175+ depending on PvP rank
Weekly PvP Cache 875-1500 depending on PvP rank (I get about 900 a week just capping conquest with no rank)
Mythic Keystone Dungeons 15 per Keystone level
Weekly Mythic Keystone Cache 100 per Keystone level

I do a five mask clear weekly and usually one mytnic dungeon maybe a 9 - tried a 10 last week so yay) and some random bgs. I had like less than 1000 echoes on Tuesday morning and now I have close to 5000. Plenty of ways to get them.

I keep seeing people throw around the word “spitefull” I dont think that’s the case at all. Blizzard is just helping us all out, they are just reassuring us that BFA wont change much, and we can all go play the new PoE leauge until SL is out. Thanks a bunch Blizz!!!

For some people. For me, needing to make make an alt army to keep the game fresh means there isn’t much max level content to do. Like WoD.
It’s almost like an alt requires 80k+ echos

No they don’t. They don’t have to be fair, nor do they even try to maintain an appearance of it. They randomly ban people all the time just as an example.
i do love this fact. this is exactly what i’ve wanted since all this started. i hope and wish this game does this for everything going forward. it is the best model for me since i partake in all the end game content (not at a high end level), and rather not run assaults and visions.
there are going to be people who enjoy running visions, but not so much doing mythics. that’s why this type of system is great for the game.
only thing im dealing with is im conflicted with having to choose between cloak upgrade, essences, or corruptions. that doesn’t feel good, but that’s a me problem.
I mean nothing is stopping people from saving the 2500 echoes and getting your essences the original way either. Essences like VoP and Lucid are basically “gimmes” anyway. Same with the M+ ones.
Assuming those are the ones you need/want.
Essences like the rep ones, pvp ones, raid currency (especially old raid) are absolutely not.
Also - if you are being forced to do it the “original” way - then it isn’t much of a catch up is it?
This should have just come from completing more visions and/or irregardless of cloak level.
You should just be grateful that you can buy your own targeted corruptions. You still have a chance to loot corruption too, and you also get it from your weekly chests.
Agreed it is quite the grind for echos, but they arent there to fast track you too bis corruption. Its there so you can target it.
