Just have every toon scale up or down on ilvl they possess to say lvl 80 approriate to what they have on in relation to their ilvl, then place them all in same BG of their choosing.

I agree with the sentiment, Darkmatters. From the perspective of a player who both levels in BGs and twinks, I would much rather see people boosted than reduced. Providing a temporary of gear to people with an ilvl of less than XYZ gives them more durability while continuing to let twinks pursue that perfect set of gear.
