Time travel to Season 4 BFA and play Warlock.

You should make a mage at character select screen there is an option called Gladiator.
You only have to select it and when you login you will be fire spec at 2400CR with about 5-15 fireblast and instant cast meteor, and a 45 second combustion CD.
Totally works I suggest you try it. The number of fireblasts you are given are based off your name and race I opted for the max of 15 with vulpera and rng generated name.

ret can be kited and mage can be los’d/purged out of there burst. play ww monk and just go sit on your target and do your pve rotation, if someone uses offensive cd on you then press your defensive cds. you will win.
get a halfway competent healer and you will make it to 2400.

Acutally, ww, ret, warrior, mage rogue are way easier to reach 2k in this saeson than warlock in BFA 4

Discipline Priest if you want to be the best spec in the game.
Arms Warrior if you want to be the best damage spec in the game.
Druid if you want to put in the least amount of effort.
Frost dk. You do 1 thing and your partner does the rest. If you can figure out how to stack and blind you’re set. Irs virtually impossible to screw that spec up and if your partners are good you snuggle up in the back pack.
Barbiebro went from Challenger to Glad in S4 of BFA and now complains non stop cause he’s stuck in the 2k-2200 mmr range as Shadowplay.
