When I started my first character in classic, it automatically took me to a Pacific realm. I didn’t realize this for a while, but now I’d like to switch to a US server (put 10 hours in). 1) Has this been an issue for others? 2) Any chance for a free realm transfer because of this? I really feel like the lack of other players when I’m on will lessen my enjoyment of the game. I feel like it’s a low enough amount of time/level that it won’t mess with the balance of the game but enough of my time that I don’t want to re do it
Probably not. They only recently closed a free transfer period.
Honestly, it’ll be easier and quicker to just re-roll a character on the realm you want (providing that realm isn’t locked).
When you load in, it primarily just puts you on the first tab of realms, which happens to be West.
No, I’m afraid not. Free Character Moves tend to only be available due to over population issues. We had some of those open earlier but those generally go to same type realms. I don’t believe it would go from a West to East realm. Sorry.
Thanks for getting back to me. Could that functionality be gotten rid of? I don’t really see the point of it, plus it leads to mistakes like this
The point of separating the regions by tabs? I imagine it is useful to those who use it.
If you feel it should be changed in some way though, I’d encourage posting on the WoW Classic General Discussion forum. Customer Support has zero involvement in game/client updates… .
Sorry I think I wasn’t clear in my post. It automatically took me into the character creation screen without selecting a realm. It just chose it for me.
I’ll take this over there anyways. Thanks
Ah, that does seem like it would be a bit confusing. Thanks for the clarification, Shiimmyshaman.
