And I think the culture of Earthfury is why it started losing players. Thereās a reason certain realms die off while other realms, like Grobbulus, notorious for its amazing community, do not die.
I think this thread alone proves that some people from Earthfury are not the most welcoming and kindest people. Realm culture matters more than anything else when it comes to server population.
Earthfury kept both its alliance and horde populations longer than most of the PVP servers did before everyone started going to the massive mega servers. I can show this on ironforge.pro.
It is one last of the āSmaller PVP serverā to have problems, with only Sulfuras surviving longer and Sulfuras lost its ally months before Earthfury did.
Yes, Grobbulus is great, and I have most of my characters there now because itās the best fit for me now.
You can think what you want to, of course, I enjoyed the Earthfury server and will always have good memories from it. I also already acknowledged that there were good premades on the server and bad, and do not think itās fair to lump entire server populations together like both you and the other poster have done.

Yes, it was definitely NOT a thing started one Classic server, especially since it was happening in Vanilla, as you said.
My Earthfury horde premade right at the start of ranking ran into a bunch of give-up types on other servers, who wouldnāt try at all. They would hide, get killed, and not rez. Since we had queues we did not give up like that. We honor farmed even bad games. Thatās not to say that premades from the server didnāt give up, but it wasnāt all of them.
That poster is a concern troll though, he came in here to defend another person who only posted to troll the server/thread with nasty comments. Defending that doesnāt say anything good about the person doing so. Having low-class people dislike a server is actually a good thing. That means they are wherever else with their toxicity. Itās like removing a really toxic guild member, it makes everyone else in the guild happier.
I usually donāt reply to that poster but I get annoyed when I see negative comments about the server I enjoyed or about my friends. Although to be fair there were some āinterestingā characters on Earthfury for sure.
Server as an Alliance is dead. Every single day is just 20-30 ppl online. I donāt understand why they added free transfers to every other server but not this one.

Not a huge fan of bene but I hang out with my earthfury brothers almost exclusively

Bizzard is letting you off. There are no restrictions on transfers on earthfury. However you want the transfer for free because earthfury destroyed theirown server? No thanks we dont want you to come ruin ours. Although i hear 25 dollars lets you transfer.
Yeah, I have a lot of respect for the Earthfury allies that held out, thatās not an easy thing to do. Iām guessing if free transfers are offered theyāll take them if thereās a viable choice.
I also donāt blame Heart and most of the other Earthfury guilds for leaving.
I transferred my druid to Faerlina with the guild. I really didnāt feel like holding out until almost the end this time as I did with the ally. I donāt really like Faerlina as a server and have no desire to do anything more than raid log on it, but for the guildies who like GDKPs and fast groups itās good.
Like you said though about your experience has been nice to see the Earthfury horde guilds excited to still be playing together, and the vibe on that is good. I put my allies on Grobb which I have never regretted, so I didnāt get to see that with the ally that moved to Bene.

Yep. There was 3 people in Org on horde side last night in prime time. ITs gotten so bad that the one remaining alliance guild that was at one point like .1% of the server population is now about 5% of the server lol. But there are still like 1000 ppl on the server, thats $25k+ blizzard is going to wait forever to try and collect.
Hereās a crazy concept for Blizzard.
Make server transfers free, with a 30 day cooldown.
Look, if Pearl Abyss; the company running the extremely P2W-ish Black Desert Online, doesnāt see it being profitable to charge players to change servers. Then you know it isnāt that profitable.

Yes for the love of God give us a free transfer off of this desolate hellscape. 3 months ago Earthfury was populous. I stepped away from the game during this time period and have been astonished at the lack of players. Even in supposed āprime timeā hours, i canāt even find 5 people in Nagrand to do the Ring of Blood, much less any dungeons.
Just wanted to add my name to this request.
Iāve got a bunch of alts that Iād love to take over to Grobb. It would give me a reason to actively play the game again.
Itās kind of mind boggling that EF is still considered a destination realm. There were only like 2k raiders/arena players there at the inception of the free xfers and itās been a precipitous decline in population since then. Not to mention there has only been 1 Alliance guild there for months.

thatās even worse for people stranded on Faerlina as alliance or Bene as Horde. i donāt get it, Itās like they donāt even use common sense. they completely destroyed TBC with how much they are neglecting it.

Earthfury is the lowest pop realm without free transfers according to ironforge.
On alliance, i canāt even make my blacksmithing weapon due to no nether vortex on the auction house. On any functioning server i could make it in a few clicks

Yeah but they made a ton of money off of it. Boost, mount, xfers. And all the people who āquitā will come right back to WOTLK and will for sure pay their $25 tax then.
And one single intern powers the entire game. Outside of server costs it costs them $0 to maintain TBC. Its all profit baby.
