Earned items transfer to retail eventually?

Over the past 6 years I have unlocked some really cool stuff in this class run.

I was wondering if they will ever transfer to retail? I am pretty sure this classic run is going to end and there won’t be a standing server left so I am wondering if we just lose that stuff forever?

Namely, I am thinking about the arcanite ripper. But there are other things as well.

probably not. the soccer moms who only collect transmogs and pets on retail would riot

It was something Blizzard promised not to do… but they did that with a lot of things.

i could see them doing it, and just labeling all the achieves earned as “classic”

would do nothing for me, i would never play retail.

They rereleased TCG mounts. At this point, I’m sure they might be considering it at least :\

That’s a great question. I’m looking at SoD as a potential answer…

They won’t tell you until it either just happens or doesn’t. They say it now people in retail explode over not coming over here and ruining the game for us by getting things and quitting instantly. They tell classic people its not happening then people in MOP suddenly stop playing outside of maybe just their raid/pvp/rp or whatever it is they do because collection no longer matters.

So I guess its just one of those things that they will let it explode at the last second it has to instead of letting explode for a long time now.

If Blizzard was smart they would do something along those lines, assuming they eventually end classic progression realms. Most people have been playing on these realms since 2019 and for the most part, they’re here because they simply do NOT want to play retail, its just a bad version of the game for them. If Blizzard just ends things cold turkey here with no offers for transferring things, they will probably lose most of their subscribers from this version of the game. If they allowed people to transfer their collections over to retail, that would most likely help them retain some of their subscriptions, however even then there’s many that will just never play retail again due to how much its changed. :joy:

Eh, tbf no ones ever cared about their opinions  Blizzard certainly doesn’t; they’ll do whatever keeps making them money. If transferring collections over would help with sub retention, they’ll give the middle finger to all the retail complainers and do it anyways.

bro the soccer moms are the ones constantly buying store mounts pets and mogs. they bring in the big bucks. why do you think they’re making such a huge deal of garrisons 2.0

I don’t particularly care if they do it or not, but I do wish they’d keep to their word on things.

If you say you’re not gonna do something, don’t do it. If you say you’re gonna do something, deliver on that statement. I dislike wishy-washy behavior, across the board.

blizzard doesn’t have the resource or the time to do that and maybe they don’t have the technology.
the chances of classic accounts merging into retail is less than 1 percent.

this is lazy dev’s team we’re talking about, dev’s that aren’t even bothering to fight bots or combat rmt or even do any proper work such as connecting servers instead of forcing everyone to move, not caring to even fix the reported bugs and it takes them ages to do anything that benefit players.

This, them not caring about classic progression servers means players shouldn’t care. Their promise to keep Bloodsail unlocked lasted like 2 days. What a joke.

they kept their word on mage Tower. it’s a start.

It is indeed a start, and while I would love to get my hands on the warrior appearances, I made my peace with it long ago.
