i mean, technically we should have dragon riding timegated behind pathfinder, right?
dynamic flying is the superior form of flying that goes 4x faster than old flying, so we need to timegate it in order to ensure people experience the new expansion properly on day one.
if dynamic flying were added to the new expansion on day one of launch, many people would just ZOOOOOM through all the content too fast and no one would have the fun that they are meant to have.
EXACTLY! which is why dragon riding needs to be timegated behind pathfinder for 12 months of every new expansion.

So you just want to take away something that’s fun for others? You must be fun at parties.
Why is there a problem with having both kinds of flying? If you don’t like traditional flight, don’t use it. Pretty simple solution, without dragging someone else down.

I have a fairly clear memory of someone (might have been Ion) saying in a developer chat that in the future you would be able to choose how to fly. As in, it would be a selectable option.
I think that (a) Pathfinder will be a thing and (b) when you can fly, you can choose whether to fly dynamic or standard.

we should just get the slow, traditional flying immediately on the release of the expansion…
then they should timegate dragon riding behind a 12 month pathfinder since its too fast and it allows people to zoom through content without properly enjoying it.

I will be very dissappointed if they do not allow normal flying at some point. May pass on expac entirely. Dynamic speed gives me motion sickness.

I have to say, the new drago…er… dynamic flying griffon is awesome. Seems like vigor is thru the roof on it.
…and the customization is great. I gave myself a dwarven hammer decoration on the saddle.

I’m just glad we can fly from day one!
And we get another dynamic flying dungeon. Hopefully normal flyers get it from day one too since it’s no longer like an “expansion feature” but it’s still way better than being stuck on the ground.

if they dont allow normal flying on day one of launch then blizzard will lose countless amounts of subs… i wont be pre-purchasing the xpansion until they clarify that traditional flying will be accessible on day one of the launch

yeah old flying is so slow! dragon riding is so fast and cool and exciting and amazing!
so we need to timegate the amazingly fast and cool dragon riding behind pathfinder so people don’t zoom through content and not have the fun that developers want them to have.
