Yeah options are good. Glad Ion or whomever is finally realizing this.
Heh, for some reason forgot how to fly as soon as we became a player, though.
Soar really should just work like Druid flight form with a cast time. Let us toggle between dynamic and static. Let Druidâs toggle too, but without the cast time.
Oh, I agree. I prefer the dynamic or dragonriding myself, but having the option to switch between is really cool.
I just saw it live with my own two eyes the OPâs report is true except the âIon was clearly uncomfortable on stage having to say Old school is not going awayâŚblah blahâ part â I donât know what alternate universe we were watching it in or perhaps I just failed by insight roll? I didnât think he was uncomfortable at all.
They should have flight.
might want to check your dice because a bunch of others have posted the same thing in here.
Maybe when they put the recording up you should watch his physical mannerisms and speech pattern before he starts talking about it and then youll see the change in him.
I didnât see this at all. Then again, I wasnât looking for it. You can see anything you want, if youâre really looking for something to cringe or gawk at.
I must say, i find it baffling that âdynamic flyingâ is available from day one, even though it is superior in almost every way, yet the super slow old school flying is just so overpowered and crazy that it needs to be held back for a while
Having to level with dragonriding is going to be annoying, I so hated that system in DF and why I hardly played there in the end.
I just don´t get why people like it, the constant pushing of buttons to not fall from the sky is just ugh.
It also seems an error to force new players into finishing the game first, before they can ride the easy mode. From my point of view, dragon riding should be optional after you finished the game, with TBC being there from day 1.
Congratulations. You can hover afk in the new city. While in the open world everyone else will pass you like youre standing still. And then you can complain that you cant get X because everyone else gets their first and kills/loots before you even get halfway there.
But you win? I mean its no skin off my nose. Just dont be doing 30 in the passing lane.
It isnât held back that far though.
âDynamic Flight will be available from the start in Khaz Algar and players will be able to unlock the TBC style of flight at maximum level by exploring the zones of The War Within and completing the campaign.â

Atleast we wonât be waiting patches for it.
It shouldnât be held back at all.
Yeah, I agree.
But why?
Some of us hate Dragonriding. Motion sickness is a thing.
Okay, and how does that help people for whom Dragonriding is an accessibility issue? If they canât comfortably do the content to unlock it because you have to Dragonride? If you can Dragonride, you should be able to traditional fly. Accessible options need to have the same availability or itâs not accessible.
Oh yes, having to level 10 levels and do the leveling campaign, THE ABSOLUTE HORROR!
I would wager that the system was already created before Ion was forced to admit the playerbase was in an uproar over Pathfinder. The man openly said he wanted old school gone and only dragon flight so they hastily added in the old school toggle and are keeping it. He even kept saying âDynamic flying is the future of flying and will remain the main flight formâ before his cringe admissions that old school was staying.
Its not. Just do the quest line that takes you to 80. Active riding is the future. Theyre just giving you a bone to stop complaining about this and to move onto something else to complain about.
Yep, thatâs exactly how it works. Locking accessibility behind âpathfinder but not really pathfinderâ. But people that donât need that assistance get flying unlocked immediately at launch.
But why?
Some of us hate Dragonriding. Motion sickness is a thing.
Ion is why. Lets just be happy the public outcry was enough to make someone else stop him from ending old school totally.
