Is it worth doing at all? Anyone got the staff yet? I’m at the point when every single project for other races is resolved and only staff left for dwarf. Archeology has become grieving. I’m constantly getting sites for completed races on opposite side of the continent and barely any dwarf sites. Similar situation is with Tol’vir. Anything other than Tol’vir is completed. I already got boy ring but have yet to see even single jar and it is my main focus. Brilliant idea of mini game so poorly designed.
Do you enjoy it? If not why are you doing it?
Digging for those 359s is soul draining.

It’s a secondary profession, one that you can effectively complete and it’s for that reason that the most sought after items are rarer than the others
I have both the Dwarf and Tol’Vir staves (and all the 359s). Across all races, I have around 1600 solves. I have found everything except the Vial of the Sands recipe.
I have found around 10 Canoptic jars so far. 10% chance to find a jar, and only 5% for it to contain the big prize. Those aren’t bad odds…but,
This is becoming… an insane quest. At this point I might just buy a Vial of the Sands from someone else to spare me my remaining sanity…

Yeah thats definitely not the norm. I know i’m over 3k probably close to 3.5k by now I deleted the addon because it just made me angry. I have 2 shields 1 zinrokh and 1 healer trinket haven’t seen a single staff or tolvir 359.
Totally. I got my Vial of Sands recipe yesterday. It took only two jars xD. I farmed much harder in original Cata but was out of luck.
Good luck, dude. Got my yesterday and feel happy. Going to continue on those staffs though as my goal is to solve everything.
Depends what’s your goal. If you just want mount then buy it. I was after the recipe.
It’s all random my friend, and good luck streaks can happen. After days and days of nothing, I unlocked the Tol’vir ring. While clearing fields trying to get more Tol’vir, I unlocked the Dwarf staff. While continuing working on the ring first in Kalimdor, I got tons of NE fields and wound up unlocking the epic toy that turns you into a Naga. It can happen, just keep at it. And if you absolutely despise it, there are great MH/OH pairings you can get that are comparable.
I got dwarf staff in a couple of days after posting this question and taking a break from an archeology. Archeology requires those breaks or else xD. Working on Tol’vir too… sometimes.
