Only in skirmishes. You can do 2v2 with a healer.
Yeah I heard about that, was that new or always a part of it ?
It is not my fault that you refuse to read Blizzard’s news…

Always part of it, as far as I know.
Its definitely optimal, especially if you’re taking full advantage on comms and running something that can have extremely high carry impact like rogue mage.
Idk how the teams are made, but if duo’s are going to be in blitz, it should at a minimum distribute them evenly between the teams. i wouldnt care if it required them to be exactly equal as well. could impact duo queue times, but way she goes.
That’s not a solo queue and it immediately sours the experience for anyone who isn’t part of that duo queue.
Again, this isn’t a problem in other games because it’s not even worth talking about, they just don’t allow it. I can’t believe I actually have to explain what the problem is to people- duo queues getting to compete with solo’s is such a massive advantage that the default meta strategy is going to be duo-queuing.
At which point you no longer have a solo queue. You’re either a duo-queue or you’re praying you’re placed on a team with one. And hopefully they’re not win trading. And hopefully they’re playing to win.
That’s not a solo queue. It’s not my fault Blizzard struggles with English.
And?
Where were you to complain about it during the months it was being tested?
It was active in its current state for more than 2 seasons.
Why is it suddenly a problem?
Because it’s actually intended to be played now.
Why are you so obtuse about the problem and refuse to engage with it? Why are you always looking for anything to whine about other than the issue?
Objectively untrue. Lots of us are having lots of fun, completely solo, and completely unbothered by duo Q
It was intended to be played in the previous 2 seasons. So that it could be tested.
Didn’t play it back then.
It’s still a problem now.
Receipts, well done.
Then don’t act surprised that it has mechanics that you didn’t know about.
Yeah, I don’t get it, they had all of season 3 and 4 of DF to give feedback, but they didn’t play it, because it wasn’t rated. But now that it’s rated, they want it changed.
It’s not a ‘mechanic I didn’t know about.’
Christ, you’re not even on topic at this point.
Oh man will i get banned for playing hundreds of game I was not intended to play?
If you knew about it, then:
Doesn’t make sense, you would have known that duo queue was part of it.
If these people were in control, then yes.
You may struggle with chronological time, but Blizzard was talking about adding a rated solo queue before it got an official announcement.
And nothing is official until the official announcement, which you didn’t read.
And you didn’t play the 2 seasons of testing.
And you didn’t give feedback during testing.
And you didn’t know about it during testing.
I’m not convinced that people are simultaniously queing together like they do for epics, and if they get in together great, if not someone is throwing. I have seen people with gear legit sit and do nothing in numerous games from the same guild as 2 people on the other team. There is someway to game the system, they figured it out, just a matter of time before everyone does.
It is delusional to think that duo queueing does not give a significant advantage over solo queueing. And yes, it has been this way from the start and it gave a significant advantage in those previous seasons of Blitz as well.
But, it is a part of the system. Blitz is good, but it can’t really be taken too seriously as a true competitive format due to the duo queue advantage and also the tremendous dependence on the overall competence of the random people who get placed on your team.
Take it for what it is.
I’m not interested in healing 6 DPS who either dont have hands or cap out their keybinds because they’re on a nintendo DS.
Solo queue as a healer to incompetent players is miserable
