the consequences… you mean, getting a few quick levels in the span of like 2 minutes at most?
i have not tanked dungeon in a while as I don’t go fast, I don’t want to go fast, I don’t want to be pressured in to going fast and that pretty much caps the whole event for me.
Says the youngster playing a two decade old game… How about you step up and play some next gen shooters with the lads. Leave us old folk to the game that was up and running before you were old enough to buy your first Taylor Swift ticket.
I’m old.
Doesn’t mean I’m dead.
Zoom away if ya can, more power. Pay no mind to the herpaderp dps standing 2 miles back hammering on a lone caster mob until they rip aggro and die somehow thinking, “i’M hElpInG!!” while they do.
If they can’t pick up the context clues of what’s happening then yeah their life is no longer your responsibility.
All content is a speedrun these days.
Is it still a thing that if you ignore a player you don’t get randomed into dungeons with them anymore? I feel like that’s a simple solution to everyone complaining about the lowbies clearing 5 mans.
“Blizzard needs to force people to do what I want them to.”
If the tank is capable of doing this without dying (which you’re indicating they are) just keep up with them and don’t dps (so as to not aggro).
These are literally the best tanks XP wise. The worse tanks are the ones that giga slow pull content that they’re capable of pulling far more.
Time walking dungeons that take 20-30 minutes are a nightmare.
This problem is solved by follower dungeons.
The only time this really matters is when the tank is too squishy and as a healer I can’t keep up. Other than that, if they can keep themselves alive and want to speed run…have at. Tanks have been doing this since I originally started playing at the end of Burning Crusades. It’s just easier for them to speed tank dungeons now than in the past.
I agree, but pugs are not there to enjoy the game. They just want to get it done as fast as possible. A good guild is the answer if you want to slow down and enjoy the game.
Why would you want to level slower? You get more xp from only the required bosses than wasting time on certain quests
Another bait thread for another NON-ISSUE, keep up or leave.
I’ll tank for you

Sorry op, you are in the minority on this one. And the answer is, as it always has been, make your own group. You have more tools at hand than ever in the history of the game to do so.
In 2006, we had /1 and /2.
In 2024, you Have Cross Realm, Cross Faction guilds, communities, various guild recruitment discords, realm discord, various guild recruitment tools (websites, forums etc), and an actually functional, and used premade group tool.
If you play any game that has a good reward for doing group content you are gonna have veterans who have done the content 100s of times, rushing through as fast as possible.
Go do a dungeon on a fresh account in eso, you wont even get a chance to play past the first pull because the tank is gonna have passives from champion points that lets them move much faster than you. Do way more damage than you, and be nearly unkillable outside of veteran dungeon or higher content. I can run to the last boss in Fungal Grotto I and kill him, solo, as a fake tank (dps queued as tank) before Non-cp characters can even get to him. Then leave dungeon because I got my daily reward already.
Play a dungeon in sw-tor, which are heavy in story content, and you will have the entire group yelling spacebar if you dont spacebar through cutscenes.
I am only running these things for the whopping xp bonus you get at the end. Lots of low level tanks and healers are only in the queue for xp. The end game players doing time walk are only there for for the weekly quest because you get more badges per hour rotating through alts than slowly grinding out 10 per boss kill.
TLDR;
Most people want to gogogo. And if you dont… Make your group
How do AI party members show new players how it was to run old dungeons, exactly?
The real solution to this issue is to buff dungeons up to where players have to actually watch what they do or get smashed. Like dungeons were always intended.
It’s cute that you think the only purpose of dungeons is TW
Hey, this isn’t completely fair. Healers lives also mean nothing.
I think the best way to get the experience you want from timewalking/leveling dungeons is to make your own group and say that you’re doing full run for quests and such. I think you’d find like-minded people but it’d just take a little longer.
Your lack of understanding the difference between “your” and “you’re” is triggering me alot more than the chad tanks pulling the whole thing.
