Dungeons ques are not speedruns. This has gotta stop

Effectively nothing in here is correct

As a person playing level 11 twinks, I’ve heard nothing but good things from the people that end up in my groups.

I wait for everyone, maintain aggro and everyone gets that juicy completion XP.

Nobody wants to spend 45 minutes in a dungeon they’ve run 100s to 1000s of times

If you die in a leveling dungeon it really is a skill issue and tanks shouldn’t have to slow down everyone when the run goes faster with 4 than it would waiting for the 5th guy who is death prone.

Just vote kick the slow link if they complain and move on. They wanted slower exp, shouldn’t feel bad about handing it to them by putting them back in queue.

If you want a game that does force parties to full clear every dungeon, play ffxiv.

I think in the case of Pandaria Remix, it was actually kind of nice that everything was speed run. You could catch up if you wanted to but you could also just hang back and chill.

The same is said for timewalking. It’s kind of nice in a way to where you can just tag along as the tank just does their thing and kill everything in sight on a path. Grab loot until you get to the end. Makes it easier to get time-walking tokens.

If only people haven’t been figuring out the fastest/most effective ways to run dungeons since the beginning of time.

Any time someone points their finger at a piece of content to soak up all the blame, it shows their bias

Ive been doing this since wrath/cata fyi lol.

I had a 19 twink arms war back in 2010 I would carry people through dungeons as a “tank”.

And blizz also tied 90% of dungeon xp into the completion. The other 10% is spread into kills and quests.

You’re just wrong and clearly despise m+ :joy:

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

Butt hurt much?

You were the one that came into this thread qqing about m+ :joy:
Its aaaaaaall m+ fault that lfg is the way it is… except I blew up your argument with this has been happening long before m+ was even an idea.

So unfortunately this is a Wendy’s, but you tried to order pizza hut.

Just gotta get the right tank. I speed run and make sure if im not max level im killing EVERYTHING. isnt that why were in there, to get xp? A good tank can has to do more than hold aggro. Its gotta play to strength of his healer.

That’s personal but if you have to know. I have prescription creams and am feeling much better.

Some of us have fond memories of the first time we leveled a character in WoW, and wish we could have that experience again. It’s not what most seem to want, not in retail anyway, so the closest we can come is playing Classic. Overall I prefer retail, but you’re right about the experience.

Retail leveling is in a weird place, tuned so silly, its only remaining purpose is to be just enough of a chore that Blizz can sell boosts. I don’t blame players for speedrunning faceroll content; I blame a game design that lumps players who don’t enjoy leveling (but are too cheap to pay for boost) with those who want to relive and enjoy that content. Those who just wish it was over with those who wish it was tuned to be fun in and of itself. It’s the worst of both worlds.

When I want to enjoy old content these days, I wait till I can solo it so no one’s around to distract me from my nostalgia.

I suspect it’s because we have many young gamers who are used to fast paced games like Fortnight, COD, etc. The gamer culture of today is not like when I began wow in 2004. The selfishness, lack of teamwork, arrogance, and disrespect makes this game no fun.

Not true I’m 31 been playing wow since 05. I rush through 5 mans bc I’ve seen them thousands of times and I don’t feel the need to kill optional bosses which make the same lame dungeon take longer

If it’s a problem the it’s Blizz’s job to fix it.

Got all of my timewalking done in less than an hour and leveled a noob to boot. Sometimes your cup of tea get spilt (is that a word? …im out of it today).

Teamwork is still the norm in challenging content that requires teamwork. Guild raid teams. Organized M+ groups. Most of my time playing WoW is spent with friends in discord. That experience is there if you look for it.

As for arrogance and selfishness… Any disputes among my guild or my friends inevitability become nice-offs, with everyone trying to blame themselves for mistakes while insisting others need that loot drop more lol.

I always ask if people are ok If I speed run. If they arent ok then I take my time.
