I’ll admit I’m not used to criticism. Hardly ever post on any public forum before.

*No changes to Raids
Dungeons
Tanks no longer required, but can still play
-Upon entering the Dungeon. If a tank is present, normal gameplay. If no tank is present, one of the Dps will receive a tank buff for armor/attacks with increased threat.
Yes, mages, rogues, hunters, warlocks, can receive this buff. If the player leaves party. The tank buff will be assigned to someone else UNLESS a tank joins the group.
Healers no longer required, but can still play
-Throughout dungeons. There’ll be totems placed throughout the map, one at each boss location. They’ll be healing totems. They can be used in combat.
Boss fights, all players will have a cd. It can be used for a moment to heal up.
*If healer stands in the totem aura and cast heals. It’ll damage the healer significantly
*If any player is currently receiving heals from a player and walks into the totem aura, totem healing will be reduced down to 25%
*If player receives a heal while in the totem aura, the caster will be damaged significantly
I agree. I have no idea why people would ever heal pugs, it’s like being a maid who runs around cleaning up after a bunch of monkeys while also being abused by them. And I understand why tanks don’t want to tank pugs this week and also all other weeks for the same reason.
I wouldn’t approach it this way, though. I would want a tank and healer NPC. I’m sure that most DPS probably wouldn’t want to tank the mobs, otherwise they would have chosen that role.
So just free for all it then?
Personally I don’t like it. I don’t see the convenience or reason to remove the necessity of Tanks and healers if they aren’t present. I like the roles and to not have them would honestly create more problems in the group.
Why limit that to just tanks? Perhaps a tank and healer would love to do a run without having to worry about DPS who body pull everything or seem to be unable to resist standing in avoidable damage?
