Why do tanks try so hard to do weird skips in dungeons in effort to save time but often tends to just result in actually wasting more time because people don’t understand how to do it or it’s just risky in general. Not like it’s a mythic+ where we’re timed. I feel these type of tanks have increased as of late lol. Just a rant but still.
People would rather take stupid risks that usually backfire and make the run take longer than just clearing normally. It’s one of the traits of elitists. It’s made all the more dumbfounded by the fact that there’s no time limit you’re trying to beat. The risk is literally for nothing.
Depends the skip, sometimes it is a time saver.
Though there aren’t really that many skips in dungeons, there’s only like 5 that I can think of.
The one for Pit is silly. I never do that skip on my tanks.
well there are two type of tanks.
-
the tank who knows what hes doing and has an actual good reason for the skip which isnt imminently appearant
-
the copy cat tank who just saw other tanks do it in the past and does it too like a monkey
the issue is that these people dont bother to explain the reasoning behind their moves which makes it hard to grasp and also increases the risk of eff ups immensly.
Pit of Saron is a good example for it.
The best part about skips isn’t the skips themselves, it’s seeing how many people utterly fail at any sort of movement slightly more complicated than holding W
Last time I saw the PoS skip, one of the dps failed and we literally had to show them how to walk up ramps to get them out of the pit
If following a tank is too difficult for a group…then that group has bigger issues than doing the skips.
Why can’t groups just let the tank lead the way?
