Dungeon Finder

That’s debatable.

Doesn’t matter what you do or don’t consider to be a patch or not.

Factually, ICC was not the last content patch. Your opinion on the matter doesn’t matter, and it was in the game for half of the expansions life time.

Also you act like the ICC phase isn’t probably going to be where everything ends anyways? if TBCC is any indication it will be months of enjoying the feature being back in the game. Possibly longer, because I don’t really see them doing Cataclysm, because wrath was the last classic expansion.

it will seem like a failed game because-

blizz boosts to 70, so fewer people leveling in levels 1-70.
dks at 55, who level to 58 in their own zone, so fewer people leveling in levels 1-58.
no player boosting, so fewer people leveling alts, so fewer people leveling in levels 1-70.
no rdf, so fewer people leveling alts, so fewer people leveling in levels 1-70.

And they shouldn’t be.

FF14 devs are not quiet about just how much WoW inspired them, and they have very much vastly improved on the formula, with the exception of a sidegrade on the transmog system.

Sidegrade? Everyone who plays hates the dresser. A LOT of people wish they had WoW’s transmog system.

The fact that it’s even there is better than nothing, is all I meant.

i like peanut butter too, but i dont drink coffee

why arent you main posting then? if you do youre probably jenna i know you lurk on reddit and the forums

But then again you dont have a banworthy name so maybe not him.

I wish it was the retail one not this garbage it is now on beta

You know whos opinion does matter? Blizzard. lol tough luck bud. You arent owed anything in this.

OP’s argument is moot. FFXIV is twice the mmo wow is currently. Has Dungeon finder, game not ruined, if anything more successful than wow these days by no small margin.

w0w!

Literally not an MMORPG though. Classic was in an era where MMOs were actually MMOs my case and point are undefeated

it literally is a mmorpg…what u smokin bro

If that were true, why are you posting on the WoW forums and not the FFXIV forums?

People are allowed to enjoy more than 1 game at a time.

The fact that ffxiv may have more players than WoW at the moment doesn’t somehow mean he can’t enjoy both games and be apart of both communities.

It’s like you’re not even trying anymore.

Imagine being that full of yourself, you literally try to gatekeep what an mmorpg is.

I would argue ESO is twice what an mmorpg should be compared to classic WoW as it’s heavily heavily RPG based with it’s systems while being a massive world filled with players and also manages to have a dungeon finder without ruining everyones life.

Infact the whole point of WoW was to bring a streamlined experience to players who enjoyed online games in a time when every other game was super hardcore… Vanilla WoW was literally the casual gamers mmorpg.

i disagree with this tho. FFXIV is objectively a better game than most versions of wow. i prefer wow classic, because i dont like queuing into everything, i also dislike how disjointed the raids feel because you queu into each boss seperately, even tho the bosses and mechanics are objectively better. ALso he doesnt say which version of wow ffxiv is twice the mmo of, if he means retail hes dead on.

While i agree with you to an extent, that an mmo is a wide genre, i think you do also understand what he means when he tries to articulate that “mmos were mmo” and its disingenuous for you to feign like hes trying to say something hes obviously not. Look at my notes on FFXIV for that articulation.

Classic already doesn’t. Not sure what to tell you, what you want is only sought by a very small minority of people. I do agree that not doing things because of levels or gains and just for the fun of it, the adventure or the story would be great, but nothing stops you from doing that even with RDF enabled, except… well, nobody else wants to. No RDF wont change that, even if it forces some people who wont just quit to show up around you in the game world, while still ignoring and refusing to interact with you, just as if they had queued.
